Finally got to see Big Fish — Andrew Lippa’s finest work to date — by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Outstanding lead performances, and truly mesmerising choral singing, as usual for RCS. Beautifully staged, a feast for the senses and incredibly moving.

The number of times I’ve just ~given up~ reading an online article because the adverts and general page design are too annoying is pretty tragic. I get that this is your one chance to hold my attention and/or get an ad click, but you’ve made me hate your website in the process.

QR code menus feel like one of those things that benefit the business far more than the customers. Ordering to the table is cool, I guess, but when it’s just a PDF, and I have to scroll around on my tiny phone screen, that’s me doing more work so the business can do less.
