"What is the expected timeline for reversing the damage from the previous government and when can all cancer patients expect to start their treatment within the 62-day urgent referral target?"

Tonight, in a House of Commons vote, Labour and Conservative MPs failed to back our plans to protect customers from footing the bill for water company bailouts.
Liberal Democrats forced a parliamentary vote to ensure it is creditors, rather than customers, who pay when water companies go bankrupt.
We will continue to push the government to ensure customers are not left to pick up the tab for the failings of water companies.
"Its shocking that our water industry has become a money-making vessel for speculators who appear to care little for the quality of our rivers, lakes and seas."

"The Conservatives left the health service and care system in a disaster state, Labour's failure to act is making it worse."

At PMQs I challenged the Prime Minister to drop his opposition to a new UK-EU customs union.
With Donald Trump threatening trade wars, we should rebuild ties with our European neighbours and tear down the trade barriers and red tape hurting British businesses.
Yesterday, I urged the Government to commit to long-term, sustainable investment in #hospices and #PalliativeCare. Hospices like @SSChospices and @PAHospice should not have to rely on charitable donations- the Government must invest now. #EndOfLifeCare
This week I had the please of speaking at the launch of HFT and Care England's Sector Pulse Check 2024.
The reality is clear, the sector is in crisis and the govt needs to go further, faster. That's why @CommonsHealth is investigating the cost of inaction on social care reform.
"Forming a Customs Union with the EU is the single biggest thing we can do to turbocharge our economy in the medium and long term.
"But an agreement to work towards one would unlock big economic benefits for the UK now and start tearing down those damaging Conservative trade barriers this year. It would be a win-win for our country."

🇪🇺The Motion for an EU-UK Youth Mobility Scheme has passed!🇪🇺
Together, we can rebuild opportunities across Europe for the next generation.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported me today.
Today, I questioned the Prime Minister on the NHS crisis and the urgent need to fix social care.
I was once again deeply disappointed by his refusal to act this year. But I’ll keep pushing because unless we fix social care, we'll never be able to fix the NHS.
