How small does Swift go? Tiny enough to run on a breadboard? From #WWDC24, this session by @kubamracek shows how you can build a simple HomeKit accessory that runs on a RISC-V device. And for extra credit, the demo shows off Neovim support for Swift! ✨https://t.co/8PWGqa5XvH
"When Putin did stuff like this in Ukraine we condemned him. When Assad did [it] in Syria, we condemned him. When Israel starves 100s of 1000s of people & shoots people who go to get flour, where is the condemnation from the U.S. government?"

Today at WWDC we introduced a new static linker. It is a ground-up rewrite that’s up to 5x faster than ld64. The new linker is written with multicore in mind, and it’s the first production ready parallel linker officially supported for iOS development. (1/n)
Friends, I need you to retweet or attend. As a community, we are struggling. We need to build our women in compilers and tools community. We need your help!
Programming language design ala Kafka:
1. The rules are not clearly specified.
2. The compiler does not check the rules.
3. The punishment for breaking the rules is arbitrary.
4. You have to break the rules to get things done.
Example: C
@dan_dee_lyons “command SwiftCompile failed with non-zero exit code” is the compiler crashing, so if you had that reliably happening it would be valuable to report it.
