I can’t believe Hilary Rosen - the former VP of the SKDK lobbying firm which contracted with the Israeli govt to propagandize for it AFTER the Gaza genocide - would tell Democrats to stop talking about Gaza
@TeresaMayNot@HorrorGorl Agreed, it’s mostly set up for a few to succeed and the rest to have just enough to buy their enshitified products and services
I share facts from China as a foreigner living in Shanghai for more than a decade. But some people can’t handle the truth.
Every time I talk about China’s rapid development, the same tired comment pops up: “Stop glorifying China!”
Listen, folks, with this level of ignorance, facing the future is impossible. If you think calling something good automatically makes it bad, that’s not logic, that’s bitterness, insecurity, and sheer intellectual rot.
For years, a manufactured narrative has been drilled into your subconscious:
“If something good happens in Asia, it must be Japan. If something bad happens, it must be China.”
That’s not reality, that’s propaganda.
If you actually learned about what Japan did in Nanjing, you’d choke on your own disbelief. But instead, the only words you parrot are: “Tank” and “Uyghurs.”
When I point out that these talking points, some people lose their minds. I have Uyghur friends and neighbors living here and I share a part of their lives but guess what? They choose to ignore. It’s not just me saying this, Uyghurs themselves post about their lives, homes, and jobs openly on social media. Go look. See for yourself. No one is here to convince you.
China Is Advancing at Lightspeed. But Some People Need to Keep Pretending It’s Collapsing. Spreading “China is falling apart!” narratives while the country is making historic progress? That’s not ignorance, that’s deliberate deception. And who does this deception hurt? Investors, business leaders, families planning their children’s education.
Now, what does “China is developing at lightspeed” actually mean? It means tax revenue is invested back into the country, in infrastructure, education, transportation, technology, healthcare, and even space research. Meanwhile, the U.S. spends $1.6 billion in taxpayer money just on propaganda, just to keep up the illusion that it’s still on top. China doesn’t waste money on hype. It just works. And in the long run, results speak louder than spin.
Want to Actually Understand China? Stop Swallowing Anti-China Propaganda. If you want to see reality, first you have to detox from years of Western-funded anti-China disinformation.
The same individuals, organizations, and media outlets that spent years spreading fake, USAID-funded anti-China narratives?
Their funding is drying up, and now they’re crying on social media about how their propaganda can’t be sustained anymore.
So do yourself a favor: Diversify your news sources. Because when you send me badly mistranslated BBC’s articles, I just laugh. BBC was funded by USAID as well. Seriously, stop wasting your time on garbage reporting.
Truth has a funny way of outlasting propaganda. Don’t be shocked when it happens.
@thecyrusjanssen Kinda seems that there are not a lot of westerners here. I haven’t seen but a few in last ten days and have been in Guangzhou as well as rural areas lately. Been traveling in China for ten years and it’s always seemed about the same.
Walking the streets of this ghost town, watching ghost people laugh and play and indulge like Gaza isn’t burning, like children aren’t starving, like people aren’t dying slowly trapped under rubble next to the corpses of their loved ones, like IDF troops aren’t merrily picking off civilians with drones and snipers while children get their limbs amputated without anaesthetic, with the full support of this ghost civilization and its ghost leaders.
This ghost town full of ghost cars, ghost buses, ghost trains, ghost pubs, ghost concerts, ghost theme parks, ghost cinemas, ghost festivals, ghost laughter, ghost feasting, ghost shopping, all going on just the same as it was before all this started. Little children running around with flesh on their bones and their organs inside their bodies like they’re supposed to be, supervised by ghost parents with heads full of social clout and gossip.
Last month a man set himself on fire before the Israeli embassy and screamed “FREE PALESTINE” as he burned. He was not a ghost. He was flesh-and-blood real. He saw it. He responded to it. He treated this nightmare like the thing that it is.
We don’t do that in this ghost town. We stare at screens and shovel snacks and booze into the gaping void within ourselves and flail our attention around looking for anything that will keep us from an even momentary encounter with the real. We do not look at Gaza. We look at everything except Gaza.
So we keep the charade going. Frantically keeping the gears of this ghost town turning like hamsters on a running wheel, running faster and faster because we can feel the wet mouth of authenticity nipping at our heels. It’s like a giant theater improv game we’re all playing together, where the whole instruction is to keep the scene in a constant state of frenetic motion.
Because we all know what will happen if we are still, on some level. We all know that stillness allows the smoke to clear and the mud to settle in the water, and from there it’s only a matter of time before we find ourselves in the tyrannical grip of clarity. And then it will all bubble up. The lies. The phoniness. The discontentment. The feelings. Shame. Guilt. Truth. Gaza.
But there’s only so long you can run from yourself. There’s only so far you can flee before you get exhausted and fall down and find yourself staring up at the sky you’ve been living under your whole life. This fraudulent ghost town can’t keep up this charade forever. None of this is sustainable. At some point and in some way, truth inevitably comes crashing in.

A city of two million is under threat of seizure by armed rebels, with thousands abandoning their homes for fear of the genocidal violence that may be unleashed, yet the world’s media - barely bats an eyelid.
As Indian scholar and Marxist intellectual Vijay Prashad points out in this video plea, it’s shocking how the people of Goma - and of eastern DRC generally - are simply being left to their fate. Other conflicts like Ukraine and Gaza grab headlines and mobilise political will, but the Congolese conflict - into its third decade - fails to move Western audiences, never mind the 7 million internally displaced, the 6 million killed, the fact that half the population has no access to clean water and more still none to electricity.
The ongoing conflict has been dubbed ‘Africa’s World War.’ It’s seen the pillage of Congo’s precious resources, such as coltan, gold, copper, timber, diamonds and cobalt (which is used in batteries for global tech giants like Apple and Tesla). Could that be why the conflict is so under-reported?
The plight of Congo should not be forgotten. Please share Prashad’s video plea. Africa and the world rise up!
