The expanded initiative starts off with a roll out at Zenzeleni Primary School in Alexandra from 27 - 29 July 2026, where learners will receive oral health assessments alongside comprehensive eye screenings and vision testing.
This is building on the on-going success of Gift of Sight by Black Coffee, which has offered eye testing to thousands of young students for free.

They heavily increased the price of eggs in 2025 because of the bird flu and never dropped it back afterwards.
Instead of dropping back the price, we now have a “special” on eggs every month. 🙃

Unpopular Truth:
There is an income level that is not solely determined by working hard.
It depends on the job you do, the country you work in, the organisation you belong to, your position within that organisation, and who decides your salary.
And (this is the part that bites the most) who you know and who knows you.

The gentleman wearing the Kaizer Chiefs shirt, Victor, called me today at around 9:00 AM after realizing that him and his friend were trending on social media. We met at Sunnyside Police Station, where he apologized, took full accountability for his actions, and returned my card holder. With the assistance of the police, we calculated the total amount that had been spent through unauthorized transactions, and he reimbursed the full amount by depositing it back into my bank account. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who assisted in raising awareness and sharing the information.
BREAKING NEWS: Suspended Inspector General of Intelligence, Imtiaz Fazel, had his security clearance revoked for allegedly leaking classified information to a member of parliament and a prominent journalist.
Fazel’s marriage to a Moroccan woman who works at the Doha embassy in Pretoria was also raised as a red flag.
He was nominated for the position by two DA members of parliament and motivated by a senior member of ANC in parliament.
As IG, Fazel is believed to have made several questionable international trips to Jordan, in the Middle East, Iran, Brazil, New York and New Orleans, where he was reportedly accompanied by a former apartheid defence intelligence operative, whom he recruited to the IG’s office.
One suspended police general is alleged to have been a frequent visitor at the IG’s office and the leader of the National Coloured Congress, Fadel Adams, also visited Fazel in his office in November 2024 after opening a case against crime intelligence boss, Lieutenant General Dumisani Khumalo, at Orlando Police and in Cape Town.
Adams opened six similar cases against Khumalo at different police stations.
But in his affidavit challenging the withdrawal of his security clearance and subsequent suspension by President Cyril Ramaphosa, Fazel is telling a different story.

We asked the Public Protector to investigate systematic failures so no child can lose their life again due to state failure on unregulated foods.
