✅ Forbes applies conservative valuations and requires verifiable data, especially for private businesses.
This is why Forbes last estimated Elumelu's net worth at around $700 million and has yet to include him among Nigeria's dollar billionaires, despite local estimates placing him well above the $1 billion mark.
The debate isn't whether Tony Elumelu has built an extraordinary business empire - he has.
The debate is whether that empire translates into a verifiable billion-dollar personal net worth under Forbes' strict standards.

Even though you later clarify that God does not endorse sin.

Salvation means God doesn’t impute your sins on you, it means your sins are forgiven.
It doesn’t mean God endorses your sins or approves of your sins, it simply means your efforts does not earn you salvation or eternity, only your faith in Christ does.
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 KJV
This text says the unrighteous (unbeliever) will not inherit God’s kingdom, it goes ahead to mention the unbelievers’ sinful actions.
This text is not describing the believer in Christ, else any believer who is covetous will go to hell, if we start describing the sins of every believer, none of us is going to heaven!
“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”
1 Corinthians 6:11 KJV
We used to be sinners or unbelievers or unrighteous but now we are washed, sanctified and justified.
Since we are washed, we should live as washed people but our holy actions don’t get us to heaven, rather we live holy because we are heavenly citizens.
Don’t argue this post before asking yourself if you or your pastor will make heaven if it ever depended on your works.
I have said it before, one reason you don’t find many Celebrities in CCI in spite of the church’s young demographics is because they cannot they cannot endure sound doctrines and truth.
Overall, the people misrepresenting the ethos of the church, especially on X are just a handful. You can literally see the effect of solid teaching and proper church environment in the activities of most of their members.
