I’m also very excited to continue all my training at Fugro with my wonderful new colleagues. Including a fellow Plymouth Graduate from last year. I’m sure I’ll have more update photos to follow in the coming weeks as I begin to settle into my life here in Aberdeen.

Last week I graduated from the University of Plymouth. This week I’m doing my initial learning for my Trainee Geophysicist role with Fugro. I can’t thank @DrJodieFisher enough for the outreach opportunities she’s given me this year and I’m definitely going to miss her lots.

This week, the 10th annual @girlsingeosci event took place on campus.

Two exciting days of field trips and workshops introduced female A level students to the Earth sciences and demonstrated the world of careers open to Earth science graduates.

Part of the day was also an incredible talk by @MaryAnningRocks, who highlighted the importance of having more female statues for more visible female role models

Did you know that there are more statues of Goats or men named ‘John’ in the UK than there are of named women? 😳

Our final panel chaired by @DrJodieFisher sees our fantastic ambassadors answer the girls questions about university life with @geologySarah answering questions about university admissions.
