@mikiebarb @melbournecoal I hope your reporters still look into the customer experience on airlines. In the early minutes of this podcast it sounds like the airlines pulled a sneaky "look over there" when your team wanted to cover their shortcomings. ATC does have issues, but the airlines do to.

@VPrasadMDMPH I'm not even sure it's a great lifestyle. Routine and social interaction is important for mental health. People are lonelier than ever and depression and anxiety is sky high. We look to screens to explain why teens are struggling, and seem to be in denial about adults.

Previous research and science (yours, as a matter of fact) was shredded and fear-based myopic messaging paired with damaging policy took it's place. @JenniferNuzzo Your own university - Brown - mandates the covid vaccine for students and quotes the CDC guidance as their reasoning. Look in your own back yard to see why many reasonable people are nervous about the CDC "recommendations". It is not "misinformation" to worry about this.

The enormous disappointment that PH has lost trust but refuses to answer basic questions (which leads to more distrust) has been terrible over the past 3 years. @JenniferNuzzo is top of the list for me. @Jusrangers @JReinerMD The policy of every school prior to Covid mania was “fever free for 24 hours”. Period. Regardless of it it was strep, flu, a cold, mono, etc. If there were a bunch of neurotic hypochondriacs who wanted more “safety” they sure were quiet. Now people want to obsessively test? No.

@CharNanagins @angrybklynmom Or it’s possible that the unions overplayed the Covid hand and lost trust. How do you explain parochial schools, that operate on slimmer budgets than the public schools, staying open? The energy to get back into the classroom by many public schools was non existent.

@angrybklynmom @AlyssaRosenberg Amen. Many blue cities are still threatening masking and quarantining for the fourth school year in a row. Not learning from our mistakes is a terrible idea. Just look to San Diego right now who is telling students to just not come if they don’t want to mask.

@angrybklynmom @TheEconomist It’s infuriating. I am a school counselor and our listservs were insufferable. I was practically the only person in august of 2020 fighting for open schools. I got absolutely roasted for even bringing it up. And we are supposed to be the mental health advocates 🙄. Unacceptable.

@FLWeex @JessicaValenti I’m trying to figure out if you’re talking about Covid policy or Crime policy? Because neither side is consistent on this one. Emotion guided most Covid mandates and it will decide most Crime laws. Both are wrong. Neither side will admit to their emotional blind spots.

@JenniferNuzzo Again, @JenniferNuzzo you state your opinion once a decision is made. I’ve never seen you advocate for dropping this travel theatre. You are in a position of influence and say nothing until it’s safe. Disappointing. Most of us do not want to live in a biosecurity quagmire.
