This may be the first Anthrocon I attend where I may not suit. Debating on participating in the parade too.

It just feels so much more intensely hot this year compared to last.
I anticipate the heat but this year feels different.

I am once again attending Anthrocon with my fiancé @AutumnSciomancy (its our 1 year anniversary!), my niece Carly (her first fur con!) And our good friend @Bonnie_Ruthless
Already off to a great start, although a bit tired already lol.

I honestly do not care how other people play the game but personally I cannot imagine skipping msq. I'm sure there are people who don't care for the journey but imo the hundreds of hours long journey *is* FFXIV

I don't want to be stuck in a trial or raid with someone that doesn't know their ass from a hole in the wall. And giving extra patience for someone who gave the game none, it is just going to cause clashing.
Play the damn game. You are a grown ass man read the damn quests.

My take on FFXIV story skippers?
Lame, the story is one of the best I have experienced.
"Let people play the way they want"
Well fine, but I have seen these same story skippers later shitting on the story they haven't experienced.

Also lets not forget that people who pay to skip story to get to current content are also basically skipping all of the COMBAT content and will likely end up level 100 without the seasoned experience once would have obtained from playing through the whole damn game/story.

@RageHound @AutumnSciomancy and I will be attending again this year. Perhaps this year will be less hectic and offer a chance to bump into each other at some point. Last year was a bit all over the place lol

It’s a shame that a lot of Final Fantasy fans will turn away one of the best FF experiences you will have for the sole reason of it being an MMO.

Throw away any misconceptions you have and just try it. The journey is unforgettable.
