@Square Out of all the POS choices out there @square for restaurants has the most amount of downtime. The thousands in lost revenue and pissed off patrons makes just about any other POS system a more economical choice even if it is more expensive. This has been happening for years.
The @Square POS feels like it’s still in Beta testing after a couple years. The amount of downtime, service interruptions, random failed updates, and switching from iOS to Android for Hardware just feels like the team is winging it. Where’s the leadership @jack?

@noblenova777 @SharpyRokOut @MGMResortsIntl They did fail to disclose this breach to the public in a timely manner which is terrible. However, it didn’t affect Caesar’s bottom line as they had insurance for cyber attacks & the ransom was negotiated down to half. This allowed them to keep running without guests noticing.
@peakwaytaps@SquareSupport@NepaTumble Square POS has had terrible uptime over the past couple of years. Hopefully they’ll invest in better redundancy and do server updates when most businesses are closed. They should take into account that they are now servicing restaurants as well.
@leafsweetie Press the 3 dots next to the focus, then select “settings”. This should allow you to change what apps and people can by pass your Do Not Disturb settings. Hope this helps.
@leafsweetie Go to the far top right hand corner and swipe down. You should see the attached screen. Then click on “Focus”. It may also say “Sleep”, “Work”, “Personal” or “Do Not Disturb” depending on if a focus is already active.
@OakvilleLatinoF@NewsInOakville I went on Friday. It was fantastic and well organized. What was the “natural disaster” that caused the festival to close up early on Sunday?
UPDATE: The interruption has been caused by crane contact with powerline. Our Control Room is working to redirect power to minimize impact to customers, while crews continue to work as quickly & safely as possible to restore full power. We apologize for any inconvenience.
@Suresh@ralstonmctodd Could it be that the best Roti is actually west of the city? Kori’s Roti in Oakville or Leela’s Roti & Doubles in Mississauga.
