@libsoftiktok No. What they’ll do, which they think is really clever, is to show you a white American who has also killed people drunk driving. They seem to think it’s a real “gotcha” like having your own assholes means importing more shouldn’t be a problem to anyone
@SophieMcDLaw It’s crazy how we think we are better off than our parents or their parents because we have cool tech. In real terms we are worse off, most families need both parents to work full time to have a chance of their own home and any “luxuries” like a holiday
@allenf32 The playbook was so obvious. Create a “problem” (illegal immigration) and propose a “solution” (digital ID) that actually will do nothing to curb illegal immigration but will 1000% be abused by whoever is in power
@JonathanPieNews This is intellectually bankrupt.
“We set the rules, you oppose the rules which means you cannot apply the rules to us”
Getting a taste of your own medicine is important before you might consider changing the rules
@realJavedBashir@RupertLowe10 Because it’s not a big insult to our culture! Just because it’s an insult in a different culture we shouldn’t be allowed to do it?
What is “perceived” about that being the English flag?
@DrHoenderkamp But isn’t the point that in real-terms their pay has not kept pace with inflation and these increases were agreed by the government to get their pay back in line with real-terms rates of pay from 2008? What people should be upset about is the pernicious effects of inflation
@Russellfred1983@RodolfoHodls@GeorgeGammon That’s quite an interesting point to consider - did coming off the gold standard pull people out of poverty? Personally, I think innovation and technological advances have helped pull people out of poverty which would have happened regardless of fiat. I could be wrong, of course
@CathFluffybob1@TheWholeT00th@DentistGoneBadd Please don’t mistake my disagreement with mandatory vaccinations as being “anti-vax”. I’m not disputing that they are beneficial but I don’t see how you can argue that they should be mandatory for dentists and a condition of employment
@TheWholeT00th@DentistGoneBadd Is there some data showing that dentists are disproportionally catching or spreading covid? Not that I’m aware of. Again, that could be a justifiable argument for making it mandatory. But that isn’t the case
@TheWholeT00th@DentistGoneBadd We aren’t arguing about that buddy! I am not saying this vaccine doesn’t work or has no benefits. I’m saying that it currently does not work effectively enough IMHO to make it mandatory. It should be personal choice. If it’s over 90% effective then we can have that convo then
