@amazonfiretv you need to fix the volume of the commercials that auto-play when turning on the fireTV. Terrible CX to have it blare a random commercial at max volume when the last TV show I was watching was quiet.
@Carnage4Life Worse than this is the ads they auto-play on the Firestick home page. Volume is often twice as loud as whatever you were previously watching. Made me switch products
I, for one, am glad that we brought an antitrust case against Facebook and blocked them from acquiring companies like Musically/TikTok. It’s much safer in China’s hands instead of Zuck’s.
If in the rare event a psyop spreads that 9-11 was a good thing and America’s youth suddenly start praising Osama Bin Laden, we can just ask China nicely to conduct an investigation and I am certain they would comply.
@EconGuessr@mattyglesias I’m not sure they are misincentivized. Unlike prosecutors securing a conviction to hit quota where the punishment can ruin your life, we all agree taxes should be paid and the only punishment an auditor can serve is having to pay what you originally owed + potential penalty fee.
@EconGuessr@mattyglesias What is the negative cost to everyone paying their taxes? 95% of Americans are w2 earners and 88% take the standard deduction. This change will target an extremely small subset that purposely avoids taxes through obfuscation.
The American people are sick of airlines ripping them off, canceling flights at the last minute and delaying flights for hours on end. It's time for @SecretaryPete to fine airlines $55,000 per passenger for every flight cancellation they know can’t be fully staffed.

4 things I learned today from @Frances_Coppola and @josephwang:
1) SWIFT isn't a payment rail, it's a messaging system.
2) The sanctions on Russian commercial banks don't go into effect until March 26 and contain many loopholes
Why are the key players for MSU and Pitt sitting in booths away from the field? Why not at least hype the team up on the sideline #PeachBowl#MichiganState
@Delta my flight from DTW-SEA was cancelled and the next available option your agents are offering is in 5 days. Can you book me with another airline? That’s an unreasonable difference for the rebooking
Stunned that this viral tweet about Utah flying state employees to Mexico to buy cheaper prescription drugs turns out to be true.
Our health care system is so broken.
3.5 hours after Pfizer says data from Israel & threat of variants suggests boosters will be needed 6-12 months from initial #COVID19 vaccines, CDC & FDA issue joint statement saying process to determine their necessity doesn’t rely exclusively on data from pharma companies
