@ivanthecreatorr Or leave that shit at home. I paid for my ticket to enjoy the match, not be run into by some drunks assholes throwing haymakers. Don’t become other people’s problem. Ghetto AF.
@Rollingoffside Estaquio, Chenoire, Shaffleburg all playing for Canada who’s a top 2 team in CONCACAF right now (and beat US last two matches). Son is still one of the best players on South Korea. Only Aaron Long has significant caps on USMNT. Tillman only has 3 caps.
Horrendous take.
@ivanthecreatorr Supply and demand brother. Son is access to all of South Korea + Tottenham. There’s no one else like him. Others might be legends, but they aren’t near the celebrity that Sonny is. More attention = more $$$. Also, LAFC compensated Chiellini and Vela through ownership afterwards.
@LAGalaxy310 3. The person to blame is not Vanney, it’s Kuntz. He completely screwed the future of the team by cap mismanagement. Signed too many aging vets to long term deals that now are killing your cap space, forcing you to sell players like Mark Delgado for pennies on the dollar.
@LAGalaxy310 2. Marc Dos Santos is not a first year coach. He coached the Vancouver Whitecaps from 2018-2021. He struggled mostly due to his roster moves rather than tactics. He’s blossoming at LAFC because JT handles all roster moves and MDS focuses exclusively on coaching.
@LAGalaxy310 1. You are right about 2024 being an outlier year, but it wasn’t because Galaxy were a great team. The top teams that year all bottled it in the playoffs. Miami, Cincinnati, Columbus and LAFC were heavily favoured and choked. This gave Galaxy a cakewalk schedule to the MLS Cup.
@LAGalaxy310 It’s simple: Messi = attention. With so many eyes on the team, players have much larger endorsement opportunities. They may make a smaller salary, but they have the opportunity to make way more money. And for those looking to go to Europe, it’s a great place to get noticed.
@DRIVEBasketball Need to copy soccer’s model. Top athletes in soccer don’t play for their school they play for their club. The talent pool simply isn’t big enough for high level girls to be playing against top competition every week. Top 3-5 schools will beat the rest of the prov in their sleep.
@DRIVEBasketball Handsworth had 3 (Sacre, Kepkay and Potter). They also sent a few on the women’s side. Kelowna may have had a couple but Braxston Bunce is the only one that I can think of off the top of my head. Vancouver College had some very good teams but Trasolini only D1 I can think of
For those on the #DoloOut train… Remember we’ve lost our 2 starting CBs, starting CDM, 19 year old starting RW & added 3 new starters who joined in the last 3 weeks (Porteous, Choinière, Son). This + deep champions league and MLS Cup runs the last 3 years. Not easy to manage.
@HaFoSaFo A man getting paid millions to play soccer in multiple countries and continents throughout his career does not feel disrespected when people don’t say his name in the correct accent.
@celsoliveira_@Section128LAFC His job is to be a line of defense in the midfield and a distributor in the build up which he’s done. Also can’t compare to Ille as he was entering the last years of his prime vs being an U22 player. Ille was also one of the highest paid non DP in league @ $1.6m Igor makes $600k
@ivanthecreatorr This isn’t a race/heritage issue. Vela’s dominance was short lived. Giovinco dominated longer, Zlatan and Messi brought more attention, Beckham was the first, Donovan was the hometown hero, etc…
Vela is up there for sure, but it’s a matter of opinion not of race.
