Womp womp, mood regulation is super important when writing. In a great mood for other reasons? I need to be extra scrupulous toward my work because it's definitely not as ready as I feel. In a terrible mood when I sit to write? I become prone to feeling overwhelmed or hating it.
Club Q was the first gay club I ever went to while I lived in the Springs. It's one of MAYBE two, at most, queer nightlife spaces in the city. The welcoming and loving energy of such a small, one-room club in a strip mall - queer folks make do - saved me. Devastated for the city.
