I push back on this because when guy was brought here, he basically made the organization mortgage their future in hopes of a chip. Guess what he failed he’s been here long enough, time to and move on completely and start the next era
Clipper fans trying to run an all-timer out the org will always seem weird to me given the history/circumstances but you def gotta trade Kawhi if the package is right.
BREAKING: In its next CBA, the league is proposing a max contract length of 5 yrs for free agent players switching teams, 6 years to retain their own players. No deferred contracts. Qualifying offer is gone too. Also, 5 years to free agency for players 30 or older.
It’s been clear both sides need to move on, especially the Clippers, it’s time to move on to the next era because 213 era ended back in 2023 and the organization kept trying to run it back. Now it sounds like L-Frank has convinced Ballmer that it’s time to move on
So… that report was interesting. It reads, in its entirety, very intentionally.
This feels a lot like a soft trade request. But one where both sides are amicably splitting and open to deals that help both the team’s future and Leonard’s want to compete.
Leonard essentially telling LA brass, “I don’t want to be here, but… because you’ve been so good to me, we can leverage it by saying I’m open to staying and you’re open to keeping me so that you guys get offers that are actually high value.”
Get what you can for him before he walks away for nothing next year. I don’t care if we don’t own our draft picks, if we can get more picks back for him or younger players, you have to do it. It’s time. Let the healing begin. It’s the Wagler era now
It’s simple if we trade Kawhi to Toronto they have to give up Boyles and picks. If we go with SA they have to give up Harper and picks. We hold all the cards
Kawhi Leonard would consider signing an extension with Toronto or San Antonio if he is traded there, per @TheSteinLine and @JakeLFischer.

Breaking: The Charlotte Hornets are trading LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reid, a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps (2028, 2029, 2030) and three second-round picks (2029, 2032, 2033), sources tell @ShamsCharania.
Well it helps when the organization is drafting to build for the future instead of drafting just draft because they were more worried about getting old players for 213. Regardless it’s a breath of fresh air they NOW they want to invest in a youth movement
Source: Lions CB Terrion Arnold has been arrested and is facing multiple felony charges which carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison. Story to post shortly.
The LA Clippers have selected Nick Martinelli with the 55th pick.
He is a 6-foot-7 forward out of Northwestern who averaged 23.0 PTS and 6.2 rebounds last season.
Martinelli led the Big Ten in scoring each of the last two seasons.
Sources: UNC big man Henri Veesaar and his agent Jason Ranne of The Team (formerly Wasserman) were promised by the Los Angeles Lakers, who will take him at No. 56.
Good center for Lakers who provides shooting and size.
