YOU CAN’T MAKE HOURLY MORE EFFICIENT
If you bill yourself out by the hour, there’s no way to become more efficient.
When someone buys an hour of your time, it takes you an hour to deliver it.
That’s the deal.
**There is no way to optimize this.**
The best you can hope for is to decrease the amount of time you spend on unbillable tasks, but this probably isn’t going to get you very far in terms of increasing your profitability.
Yours,
—J

@realBigBrainAI I agree, the more I use my Claude Code and Open Claw the more I realise these things are almost in every aspect of my life. I was even considering automating my weekly grocery shop. Seems silly but worth the thought to what comes next
@DanielMiessler I'm equally excited about the future and sad with where we currently are. People in 2099 will look back on us like we do to tech from the 1960s. Prehistoric compared to what we have today, completely unrecognisable tech-wise.
@DFintelligence Another way of saying it: AI is doing what general people need from 3D, which is like 70% of the market. In that last 20-30% is where people would put up with longer turnarounds and cost because they need something more than just output.
@DFintelligence As a creative business owner, who also does 3D modelling. AI is satisfying at the conceptual level which is what most people need. I believe in future 3D would need to cater more towards the technical and results, like true accuracy or very specific requirements.
@hobdaydesign I think we’ll see this a lot more. I stepped back from my 8-year video career at the end of 2024 and realised it’s not about money or accolades at all. As long as I have my bills covered, I’m more interested in having as much free time as possible to follow my curiosity.
@pumfleet@calcom I think this makes sense and is understandable. Maybe a middle ground is having cal closed source and having a separate thing open source, but then you’re most likely doing 2x the work. A better solution also may present itself as you go down the closed source path
@rileybrown I have it now, but didn't when they first announced it earlier today. Actually really like it, and I'm not sure if I'm losing it but I feel like Opus 4.6 is normal within the app terminal compared to how it's been acting recently. I might be delusional I don't know yet
@boringmarketer I'm holding off on using it to make any code edits as I have my folder structure nailed and don't currently trust it to update files or same to memories correctly etc.
@boringmarketer Absolutely. It started speaking to me in GPT style, reassuring me with "that's not a fault, that's a feature, and your instincts are right" - It's also become lazy and not very proactive. It insists Gemma 4 and Open Claw don't exist, instead of confirming itself like it used to.
@MrxFlip@nealmohan@YouTubeCreators Second this as well. I originally created two streams for wide and vertical, easily got a few thousand on the vertical. With the ‘cropped’ version the vertical barely gets seen at all
I've returned to let my old comic book community know I shot with @RealHughJackman and @VancityReynolds a few weeks ago. From comic book YouTube channel 10 years ago, to meeting the legends themselves. Wanted to celebrate it with you, my DAY ONES 🙏🏻❤️
In honour of Guardians of the Galaxy in theaters Friday, here’s a screenshot of the time I forgot I had scheduled a COUPLES THERAPY session on a day we were shooting. #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3
@Blackmagic_News Will check it out. Unfortunately had to go back to 18.0 as 18.5 beta had multiple issues. No longer could playback multicam on the timeline with grade applied and multicams in the source window to see all angles. Also the timeline itself lagged. M2 Max MacBook fully specced 🤷🏼♂️
