Most AI startups will fail because of distribution, not technology. They'll build something genuinely impressive and then spend years trying to convince businesses to adopt it. Meanwhile most traditional businesses have exactly what startups need — real customers, real revenue, real workflows — but they'll never build the technology themselves. The opportunity that almost nobody is pursuing: combine them. Invest in a startup with real tech, acquire a traditional business with real distribution, and merge them together. The startup gets a customer base on day one. The business gets technology it never could have built. Neither gets there alone, but together you skip about five years of grinding.
