@WakeUpRef @JoshMatlow They would support the person to take their medication and provide them counseling..help them find housing and work..help them to use less substances..give them someone to talk to and things to do… all preventing unwell people from being agitated in the TTC.

@HORNACEJACKSON @NaheedD Yes and no.. there are so many seriously unwell people waiting for mental health services that could be helped right away with increased funding to community mental health and addiction services. Also many people who would not be in the TTC if they had housing.

@NaheedD Anyone working in mental health services can tell you that they were already underfunded and struggling to keep up with demand before the pandemic… since the pandemic the need for mental health services has only increased…along with wait times.
