@MrWennstedt My son's teacher gave him a super absurd April Fool's Day assignment via video. At the end of the video, she made sure they knew the assignment wasn't real! #tldeuno2020
A3. Finding ways to make things personal is key! Videos that express care for the students and teacher personality can be one avenue. ...including humor... interacting with small groups of students on Zoom creates space for a more personal connection, as well. #tldeuno2020
Wrap Up: My final thoughts are that remote learning is tough! I think we as teachers can do a lot to make it amazing. Students that have either self-motivation or accountability from their parents can rock it! Students that don't have those things will struggle. #tldeuno2020
@MrsSchroll I think Flipgrid has the potential to be SO great... but for some it is anxiety-inducing. I have observed both the positive side and the negative side. #tldeuno2020
@EAlexBeard1 @MrsMcKenzie20 @MrsSchroll ...and I think if they are not monitored, they can be another unsupervised space where bullying can take place. :(
@MrsSchroll So true--I think that this is where student age comes into play. My son was in sixth grade, and he really struggled with the transition to so much written instructions... but then he got it figured out.
A2. Teachers can collaborate through the sharing of digital resources. Network!!! Students can collaborate through the use of Google docs and Google slides. Students can create Quizlets that would be used by other classmates. #tlde2020
@MsFordMNHS @MrWennstedt Madison, I agree with this. I thought a lot about how this year might have been different for my children if they had not already had a relationship established with their teachers. #tldeuno2020
@MrsSchroll I think your insight on socializing students in excellent. My kids struggled to not have connection with others outside of our home. #tldeuno2020
A1. I think that when developing remote learning lessons, you must think through how to verify that students have completed the different parts of a lesson--how to assess them. Also, how to teach students with limited internet access... #tldeuno2020
Hello all! I am Kendra Camio, a secondary Spanish teacher candidate. My experience with remote learning was completing my university courses (as a student) and helping my boys navigate the rest of their school year. I have not never taught online! #tldeuno2020
Kendra Camio, teacher candidate in the ACT program. On my way to teaching secondary Spanish! I am 100% a Twitter Novice. Hello to everyone! #tldeuno2020

I think Twitter is an excellent resource for connecting educators and for professional networking. As a soon-to-be teacher, I will be definitely using Twitter for resources, ideas, and inspiration.
A3. #langchat is my favorite educational hashtag. It is a professional community, where world language teachers can share with one another things that have worked in their classrooms. #tldeuno2020
