Hey everyone. Got some bad news to share. I've delayed posting this because I was hoping to find another position, but as JMU discontinued their Varsity esports program, I no longer am employed at JMU. I've been gone a few months now. Thought I had another local job locked up, but got the bad news that they went with someone else yesterday.

This has been one of the most difficult years of my life professionally. My wife and I both lost our dream jobs within months of each other. We are still celebrating the birth of our daughter last year, but since she was born, the rest of our lives have been in shambles. We're hoping to get something figured out soon, but this may very well mean my exit from the world of collegiate esports. I already miss every second of it. With the job market the way it is now and the lack of full-time esports work in Virginia, my return in the near-future is highly unlikely.

Having said that, I will never stop looking to re-enter the industry I know and love. If you or anyone else hears of any full-time positions in Virginia or remote work, please let me know. I've also wanted to explore partnership opportunities for ideas and organizations looking to expand into esports for a long time. If anyone has any interest in exploring the viability of an esports venture either in the scholastic or private-sector realm, please let me know about those as well! Esports has been my love and passion for years now, so having to exit like this has me feeling like there's a piece of me missing. I would love to find an opportunity to support esports organizations at high schools, universities, or other businesses within a radius of Harrisonburg as we love it here and plan to stay here in the short-term at least.

I also need to say that while I put myself into a good position to work at the organizations I have, nobody gets to their successes without the help and support of others. @themissingward, @757cigarmike, and @LonsertJames helped me at ECPI to gain my first job in esports. @themissingward, @esportsmike, @AshleyOfTheYear, @cwinger12, @KyleDeFrancisco, and @djdextrose were the best team I could've worked with at @NACEsports. @JMU_Esports will always hold a special place in my heart and it was a privilege to lead the program for three years. I hope to continue finding ways to support them moving forward. All the members of the Competition Council that I served with, the many esports leaders at universities I had the privilege to work for and network with, and the many MANY students that I've worked with at JMU will always have a special place in my heart.

Here's to hoping that the next post I make about my professional esports life comes from a much more optimistic place! Until then, expect most of my content to be reposts of funny stuff, football/soccer content, or the occasional clip where I show that I'm not washed just yet😂 Love you all, and I hope to see all of you again one day!

I've been in the FGC for a while now. I've watched many talented players never achieve what they deserve. It almost never has to do with their mechanics. It's the mindset. Here are a few mindset shifts that actually move the needle. (1/5)

@KelyxLoL Sent you a DM with follow up questions, but them I am sure I will be sending you my information afterwards!

@StevenHeathen @GuildWars2 Dictionary definition of javelin: "a light SPEAR thrown in a competitive sport or as a weapon" hence it is meant to be thrown hence Warrior and Ele got you covered.

Adding one-handed spear would be too confusing for the general player base anyways.

[Cameron Mewhirter @cammew99]

@StevenHeathen @GuildWars2 You do realize Warrior and Elementalist spear is basically Javelin right?

[Cameron Mewhirter @cammew99]

@SodaPressingTV To be honest I've had 1 time a situation like that has happened where I'm newer to the game. There will always be people in these types of games that will act like butts. I'm more than happy to fill in a slot with you on Deadlock to minimize the chances it happens again!

The Redline Series marks a premier collaboration between Richmond Raceway and Shenandoah University Esports bridging the gap between motorsports, competitive gaming, and education in the region.

🏎April 15th will be the first event in this series: the Redline Showcase. This event will take place in Richmond Raceway’s Media Center right in the center of the racetrack!

Show matches will feature scholastic Rocket League teams from across the DMV region- including Henrico County Public Schools, University of Mary Washington, and Shenandoah University.
