For the first time yesterday, I experienced the new @alamodrafthouse QR code ordering system and I can tell you it’s truly awful. Rather than making ordering food and drink more efficient, it actually adds steps to the process AND if you want to order additional items during the film you HAVE to open your phone. No, your cute reference to that irony in your How To Alamo video doesn’t negate how ridiculous this is. Please don’t cut corners with your staff and revert back to physical menus and order cards.
Can’t even say this about American Tottenham fans, I be waking up at 7am to watch us lose 1-0 to Bournemouth, there’s no pretending I am quite literally stuck with them lmao
JUST IN: Diego Hernandez Garcia has been deported back to El Salvador. He's the Hardin Valley construction worker detained by ICE in December whose case I've been following.

there’s a brand of journalism where people interview folks at the ai labs and say “i’ve talked to the people making ai. little do the normies know … it’s gonna change their world forever 😏”
— and i don’t exactly think they’re performing a public service. more often they’re flaunting access, uncritically buying corporate PR, and freaking people out without much justification.
Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.
