@kcoleman@jaybaxter the automated notes showing on Tweets with matching media is awesome, but has to be language adjusted. New roadmap item?
Miss y'all!
JAMA Research Letter: @CommunityNotes are 97.5% accurate when addressing COVID vaccine related topics.
All happens through an open, transparent process where the people (not a tech co) decide what context is helpful enough to add.
From an author of the letter: "The context and credible sources shown in notes alongside contentious posts, empowers users to discern fact from fiction, a skill they will find useful as they navigate all claims on @X and everywhere. ... The process is controlled by the public, instead of decision-makers at the company and all information about the program is open-sourced. ... More social media companies should open-source their misinformation countermeasures following @X's and @elonmusk's lead."
The open source culture around AI is what feels magical.
Lack of access to code, data, papers and reproducibility as well as patent walls were the things that pushed me away from academia after PhD.
I hope the open culture wins over the moat seeking for-profit non-for-profits.
