“The best way to protect students is to make sure that those around them are vaccinated” - “we will not be forcing teachers to get immunized” #bced#bcpoli
@bctf Right before the winter break, I had a student that was told by PH to self isolate (their entire family had to) and none of the teachers were informed. I only found out through the parent.
@ShmigelskyMark@keithbaldrey ppl that have been back to work have strict Covid policies & protective measures in place- plexiglass, limits on # of ppl in a space, face shields, etc. Teachers have none of this. Most were given 2 reusable masks, a disinfectant spray and a bottle of hand sanitizer.
Not sure who told you otherwise, but elementary school is only 6 hours a day. @Rob_Fleming - is the $242 mil being spent on the creation of a device that bends time and space allowing teachers to accomplish two full time jobs at once?
Can someone explain how I am supposed to simultaneously teach online and in person? Told today I am responsible for both. I invite you to come into my classroom and show me how to teach two online lessons a day as well as teach my in class learners @Rob_Fleming@bctf#bced
Students, both in-class and transitional, are going to suffer because of this. Instructional time has already been greatly diminished. Now, with no extra supports, resources, release time, you want me to creat online content, teach 2 online lessons a day AND teach in person?!
