The more we let ourselves be convinced and transformed by the Gospel — allowing the power of the Spirit to purify our heart, to make our words straightforward, our desires honest and clear, and our actions generous — the more capable we are of proclaiming its message.
When we consider our calling, each of us can say with confidence: “Despite my weakness, the Lord is not ashamed of my humanity. Instead, he comes to dwell within me. He accompanies me with his Spirit; he enlightens me and makes me an instrument of his love for others.”
His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has officially been installed as the 267th Bishop of Rome, by taking possession of the Roman Cathedra and the Papal Archbasilica of St. John Lateran in Rome.
Pope Leo singing the Regina Coeli in Latin from the window of the Apostolic Palace is the most beautiful, relaxing, fulfilling, and mystical thing I’ve heard today… ✨
In whatever the Lord calls us to do, there are times when we feel inadequate. Yet the #GospelOfTheDay (cf. Jn 14:23-29) tells us not to rely on our own abilities but on the mercy of the Lord who has chosen us, and to be certain that the Holy Spirit guides us and teaches us all things.
Just a few days ago, I began my ministry among you. Before all else, I would like to thank you for your demonstration of affection and ask you to keep supporting me with your prayers and closeness.
In the #GospelOfTheDay (Lk 6:39-45), Jesus asks us to train our eyes to observe the world well and to judge our neighbour with charity. Only with this caring gaze that does not condemn can fraternal correction become a virtue.
I would like to thank you for your prayers, which rise up to the Lord from the hearts of so many faithful from many parts of the world. I feel all your affection and closeness and, at this particular time, I feel as if I am “carried” and supported by all God’s people.
