Intellectual compatibility doesn’t get enough credit. Being able to talk for hours, challenge each other, share what you know, and keep evolving together is one of the best parts of a real connection.
Are we actually living through the most chaotic era in human history, or are we just the first generation with social media forced to watch every tragedy on earth unfold in real time, and the world has always been this dark, we were just never close enough to see it?
You know what really bugs me these days? We can't own anything anymore. Everything is a subscription. Adobe, Notion, Spotify. You don't just buy things once, you keep paying every month. You literally have to pay for everything forever. Isn't anyone else bothered by this?
It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.
i love when someone unintentionally makes you a better person. you start picking up new hobbies, trying new things, and seeing life a little differently. that’s such a beautiful part of human connection.
I’ve watched busy people make time for someone they care about. I’ve seen people who struggle to communicate become better communicators, terrible texters start replying quickly, and people who claimed they weren’t ready for a relationship suddenly become ready when they met someone they genuinely wanted. Circumstances can be complicated, but consistent effort tells you a lot. You shouldn’t have to keep begging someone to show you that you matter.
We don’t want flying cars or folding iPhones or data centers.
We want an end to mass shootings, healthcare, free and fair elections, and our planet and people to be cared for.
The best reason to read ancient history isn't to memorize dates. It is to realize that human nature hasn't changed at all. The arrogance, jealousy, power struggles, and public anxiety we experience on screens today were all documented thousands of years ago.
STAY AWAY from folks who don't value the small sacrifices you make. like spending money you barely got, pulling up when you tired, giving advice, carrying their problems, or being the one who always checks in first. Some people only love the benefits, never the person. They'll use your energy just to go pour it into everybody but the one who's actually helping them.
The older I get, the more I understand why people disappear into gardening, baking, reading, and long walks. Not because life got boring. Because peace became valuable.
THIS is what being intentional looks like. He ain't guilt-trip her for needing space, ain't make it about his ego either. He respected her boundary AND still showed up for her. A man who can love on you without demanding access to you every second? Whew, that's a whole different kinda peace.
some of these nggas be wanting a woman to understand every fckd up thing about them while refusing to understand a dàmn thing about her. you gotta understand his attitude, his trauma, his finances, his childhood, his mood swings, and why he ain’t where he wanna be in life. but soon as you express one issue with how he treats you, now you difficult, you nagging, you emotional, you doing too much. whole time this nggga ain’t looking for a relationship, he looking for somebody dumb enough to make his problems her responsibility while accepting absolutely nothing in return !
i think one of the greenest flags in a relationship is being able to bring up something that hurt you without worrying that the conversation will turn into a fight.
