@TheDankInformer The whole point of the fund is for people who don't have access to the underlying, no? Doubt there's people buying it for the active management
@cmarttrades Price action isn't really a risk.
Liquidity is a risk. Going concern is a risk. Forex is a risk. Key man is a risk.
How is price action going to impact revenue or margin? Maybe if you need to raise capital, but that goes back to liquidity and going concern risks
@WeedStreet420@JDerevyanny What does retail have to do with it? AUM is what keeps a fund running, not the # of retail holders
The 2nd part is a pretty bold claim. Do you think they'd match the average of TRLV and CURA performance without it? I.e. up 25% rather than down 10%?
@WeedStreet420@JDerevyanny I think we can all agree AUM is a much stronger indicator of sentiment than a Twitter poll, no?
Hell, half the complaints nowadays are how they're not holding enough GTII even though it's -10% YoY vs +10% for CURA or +40% for TRLV for the same period
@Levi2v2y The same reason it's always been - it adds liquidity to an extremely illiquid market. And that won't change until adult use is federally legal
@TheDankInformer@V_arrell@longtrulieve Expand to include, not convert. Cannabis is medicine, and there will be channels specifically for medical use in any mature market.
@XIX_Value@ragingbullcap The problem with holding $CRON is it's like you're holding 80% cash. Unless they start spending it, and soon, the upside is going to be extremely limited
@cmarttrades You think that's the anchor, and not the fact that their revenue has grown less than 2% a year (inflation adjusted) for the last 2 years while their COGS have grown 10% YoY?
There's no boogeyman here, the fundamentals are just not there right now.
@AaronWAnderson@eaoliver If the problem is tons of unsold cannabis and a thriving illicit market, it does help.
Only reason you don't see $30 ounces and why the glut is large as it is right now is because the LP will be losing $10 per unit before any costs are taken into account
@AaronWAnderson@eaoliver The problem is that people would be willing to buy the product if it was cheap enough, which the duties currently prohibit. If LPs could sell $30 ounces, the supply/demand intersection would be radically different
