@prodnose Yeah, like you wouldn’t welcome a reward for finishing comfortably in the top half of the Premier League or wining the FA Cup 😂
Well done Palace and enjoy 🍻
See you next season, Danny ⚒️
@Tonycornick1@russtxy Me too, but in most cases I would have had a hand before the Jump job was complete. It is hard to quantify but I think we can all be clear that the Jump jobs we get do not yet significantly offset TW’s high commission.
Regardless, TW is a pleasure to use and worth some premium.
@Tonycornick1@russtxy Would love to see a secondary product, perhaps a stand alone app dealing with pre-books and corporates. Card details could be taken, unlike with the primary product, and it could be open to all drivers on a commission basis. Could solve a number of issues to everyone’s benefit.
@Tonycornick1@russtxy Only Jump jobs that get your meter running when it wouldn’t be are relevant. Not knocking jump, I’ve had numerous jobs that have done this, but it is still a small proportion.
@stephencrowther@OctopusEnergy Intelligent Octopus Go. Schedule an EV charge to start during the off-peak tariff and the off-peak rate is applied to the whole charge, even the peak period, perfect for late night drivers.
@blackcabcom Fjotd, first https://t.co/JXWfrqj6If job done! Mum, dad and newborn safely home from hospital, they wouldn’t trust a phv with a trip like that. £23, “take £30” 🙂
Flawless except the lack of a pop-up. Never had the pleasure of a Unify so an impressive start 👍🏼
@Tonycornick1@taximanant That would be too harsh, and we can’t expect a right to cancel if customers don’t. Something that would stop close proximity cancellations would be welcome, or at least make it harder. Call the driver (or pax) a pre-requisite for such situations perhaps? And ban for abuse?
@Tonycornick1@taximanant It’s not about distance, it’s about customers taking the mick. Even a short run-in cancellation can put you back in traffic.
Jump is an outstanding product and this flaw can be tolerated in the bigger picture but it is still a flaw and will get worse.
@taximanant@Tonycornick1 A driver explained to my passenger similarly when I was hailed recently on Woburn Place.
I’ve had one ‘eyes on’ cancellation and numerous whilst close. Jump is excellent but this breeds a damaging climate where drivers are more inclined to keep their light on and cancel.
@blackcabcom First job offer received but run in a tad too long to accept, Cheyne Walk from Belgrave Place (had 1 mile radius set, now off).
Heard a frog-like alert but didn’t get any pop-up. Pop-up is essential imo.
👍🏼
@The_LCDC@CamillaTominey@policylaila@Telegraph If there’s any odd question it is yours.
Be careful what you wish for and let this be a stop to the incessant political cheer-leading from a trade account.
@guidoacasa@taximanant@J_d_whiting I’m going to take a punt that they were advised by KC that prospects of success were at least 50% and the pros and cons of challenging a temporary order. Not that I don’t value your own hindsight legal opinion of course 😉
@taximanant@guidoacasa@J_d_whiting We lost. It happens. No conspiracy, no corruption. The case was worth taking as demonstrated by the win at first instance, and the costs against was such a painful burden but follows protocol. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and nothing but admiration for the team who fought.
@Sammyscarf You know where I was going 😉
Anyway, I’ve said that you need a barrister’s opinion. Trying to interpret aged taxi law and complex case law in a current context is not for amateurs, hence even the LCDC’s piece refers drivers to lawyers (or orgs 🤷🏻♂️). Good luck unravelling 👍🏼
