Professional athletes will get tested multiple times a week to ensure that their sports are safe.

Educators aren't guaranteed any tests for them or their students. They must put 15-30 kids in a room & "make it work"

Everyone brings up valid points however this is a multifaceted decision and the safety of students, staff and the community must be weighed carefully. Is it worth the potential risk for 26 days of school? The answer is no

Congrats to the state of Texas for cancelling the STAAR test for this school year. As families focus on what this pandemic means for their day-to-day lives, no child, no teacher, no parent needs to be thinking about how to pass one test. Hoping other states will follow suit.
