@hibbert_ian@fbumerseyside Well done to Merseyside officials and members. Even defering it is a step in the right direction. It is a scandalous idea! All services carrying out such activities put lives at risk, and I bet SMs get bonuses for implementing it.
@cheshirefire A pump from Crewe 2 cover Macclesfield tonight as no availability. This is poor from sen. managers yet another model failing. The present CFO was a major player in introducing this system before promotion to CFO. Don't blame the staff SMT we're told the pitfalls.
@labournorthwest Why is a labour led fire auth refusing the fbu members a meeting with local mp at a station over future proposals? Thought @keir_starmer said "Labour is back in the service of working people". Anyone sent the memo 2 the chair of the fa @CheshireFBU@CheshireFire
@CheshireFire CFRS seem to be good in all areas apart from:
Understanding fire/risk, preventing fire/risk,
Responding to fire/emergencies & major incidents
Best use of resources.
So what is the service for? Only CFRS SM with huge PR/media team could spin this to sound good. @fbunational

@eastsussexfbu In Cheshire, when the UNavailability map was ever shown on social media, they had a contingency plan. Put huge amounts of effort in finding the perpetrator who posted it & go hell bent to try & discipline them as well as make it service knowledge what they would do. @CheshireFBU
@WestMidsFire@BhamCityCouncil@Wayne_Brown5 @SimonTBarry No doubt the sprinkler did its job, the fact you passover the life saving survival advice given by the con-op without equal recognition & praise highlights how frontline staff are treated. A better worded headline lifts moral of any con op & shown their true value! @fbunational
@NFCC_FireChiefs So having a conference of selective senior managers suggests you & they r free of any blame. In many cases they r 2 blame whether directly or indirectly. CFOs & senior managers should be held fully accountable & sacked not paid off with huge payouts as if they have done no wrong!
@fbunational Have a simple question. WHERE IS THERE ANY SORT OF PAY STRUCTURE FOR FUTURE PROOFED RISES GOING FORWARD? Surely by accepting this no strings attached is back to square one in 12 months time
@MobileReturning @CheshireFBU@fbunational How do the fbu take some responsibility they don't employ staff or implement systems. The issues: no staff, failed systems have no doubt been raised many times by the fbu. Are you suggesting the fbu should take action in order to be in some way accountable?
@MobileReturning @MattWrack@fbunational You missed a bit off. "Otherwise, there would be an alternative, surely?" If there was better out there, then people would join.
@MobileReturning @MattWrack@fbunational I don't agree with everything, but democracy wins. Lack of viable alternatives suggests the fbu is the best. Otherwise, there would be alternatives, surely?
@MobileReturning @MattWrack@fbunational Overtime is not banned, as I said ages ago & it has probably been offered to all qualified staff but not enough staff in the first place and failed systems goes back to my very first point that senior managers should be held accountable. You started all the rest I just answered.
@MobileReturning @MattWrack Overtime is still more hours, which you are saying they should work to keep pumps on the run, so in that case, it would be compulsory, not a choice.
@MobileReturning @MattWrack You really do have it in for him, don't you. If you want to change it, then go for election yourself and change from within.
@MobileReturning @MattWrack He wins the vote, so he must be doing something right at present. I don't agree with everything he says by a long chalk, however democracy is how it works. You keep on overtime. How is this not more hours then?
@MobileReturning Which shift system are you talking about as there are quite a few? Overtime is not banned? So you suggest it's FFs fault pumps are off the run as they dont work overtime? You should ask those using food banks to stop BSing then.
