🎥 2019 After losing to Ohio State
Very similar exchange from Jim Harbaugh and reporter compared to answer addressed to Kris Rhim's question yesterday.

[Kris Rhim @krisrhim1]

Q to Jim Harbaugh after he praised Justin Herbert's "warrior" play that he's been watching for two and a half years:

"Part of that is just him taking a ruthless beating because of, I don't know if it's the group in front of him, his protection, what's going on, but when you came here, your charge was to get him protected. Mike's [McDaniel] charge was to make sure he didn't have to be a superhero, but 2.5 years later, like you said, he still has to be a superhero for you guys to have a chance to win the game. Why is that?"

"Yeah, that just sounds more like an insult than it does a question, but if that's the way you look at it. I'm saying that it's the kind of competitor that he is where I've never seen him flinch. I've never seen him rattled. He's an amazing inspiration and that's what we do. We all feed off of that. I know the entire team does. And you ask me what gives me optimism, what gives me hope with this football team, because I see that throughout the entire team. And yeah, we attack, we improve, can't improve everything all at once, but we can improve one thing at a time, all the time. And that's what this team is doing.

"It wasn't insult. I'm just asking if it's the third season now and he's still among the most pressured and hit quarterbacks. I'm just asking you why that is?"

"I think I answered your question. I can answer it the same way."

"You can answer it the same way, but I don't think you answered it."

"I think I did."

.@AdamSchefter reports that NFL officials Jeff Seeman and Adrian Hill have both been suspended after unprofessional conduct towards a player 🏈

[Jim Rome @jimrome]

Is Justin Herbert still considered elite after starting the season 0-4?? @AlbertBreer

[Jim Rome @jimrome]

"This is a pretty significant bump being 0-4, that's when you find out if the personalities really work together."

@AlbertBreer on the connection between Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh and OC Mike McDaniel.

[Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter]

More about the NFL suspending line judge Jeff Seeman for two games and referee Adrian Hill for one game as punishment for instances of unprofessional conduct toward a player.

The play where Joe Alt is injured by Seahawks DB Nick Emmanwori

[Bolt Beat @BB_Chargers]

The Chargers have a clear decision to make with Joe Hortiz.

[Jason Reed @EatYourReedies]

Today's loss was the perfect encapsulation on why the Chargers need to move on from Joe Hortiz this offseason.

[Michael Peterson @ZoneTracks]

So let me get this straight:

- Joe Alt went down, rookie Travis Burke in at RT
- Trevor Penning went down (3rd LG), rookie Logan Taylor is in
- Rashawn Slater is out, so starting center moved to LG, rookie UDFA Jacob Spomer at center, and Logan Taylor moved from LG to LT

The Chargers have no more healthy OL dressed

[Kris Rhim @krisrhim1]

Rashawn Slater has on a walking boot on his right foot and crutches

[Kris Rhim @krisrhim1]

Justin Herbert first half: 5-14, 36 yds, 2 Int, 2 sacks
Herbert second half: 13-16, 144 yds, TD, sack

Chargers ball. 1:42 to play.

[JC Tretter @JCTretter]

This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable. Players are consistently held accountable when the roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard.

[Kris Rhim @krisrhim1]

Backup center Jacob Spomer is in at center, Jake Slaughter moved to left guard. Chargers don't have any other healthy lineman dressed

[Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report]

An NFL ref appears to say “Fuc* you” to #Cardinals TE Trey McBride 🤦🏻‍♂️
