Beardy Stanford professor Robert Sapolsky argues we are ~clockwork ('Determined' 526 pages), grand-beardy occultist Alan Moore believes we dwell eternal in an immutable 4D crystal ('Jerusalem' 1266 pages)... here's the Twinnies (1:36), proof for everyone, no beards required.
@truffle@sudo_overflow You can skip studio entirely with Claude Code, push straight to prod from github commit, run ads (~$0.01c per install), watch your own real-time metrics & join live servers to watch players, then iterate live, break things and fix them in ~2-5min cycles.
@hthieblot I did some redeye flights to pitch east coast VCs back then. If you made it through the cultural hedge maze between parties any term sheet would have new extraordinary PE-style unmovable terms. Later you'd discover the other party had sent four competitors term sheets.
@GenAIRoblox@honam Try Claude Code, it's great at Roblox / LUA. Setup rojo for studio and github actions to commit push -> production (~45s), run ads as you ship, test in prod, break and fix things for the new players live with that nice fast feedback loop.
@vintagestuff4 My daughter has a fried-egg beret that she picked out when she was maybe eight. Also, I believe the great fry-up remains an important icon of British Culture, which back in the ~1960s was quite silly.
@elaifresh Ahhh, I missed that detail. With the new-ish 'the city maintains your trees' policy it seems likely there'll be less canopy over streets. Also, you should check Venice in LA -- visiting recently we were amazed by the 'tree tunnels' on some streets, felt like France.
@elaifresh I think your filter may be excluding trees in parks alongside the streets -- Buena Vista Ave, for example, around the park is thick forest on one side, likewise Fulton alongside GG Park should not be white?
@_MichaelOswell_@RivalDealer26 Oooh a clean version of a beautiful place in the country (live) -- this has always been one of my favorites, music fit for a cathedral. Thank you!
@Jonathan_Blow@auderdy Fair enough, though I hope you stay in one of the neighborhoods when you visit :) NOPA / Divisadero for example is much 'nicer' (certainly fancier, ymmv) than it was in late 90s / 2000s. Even St Pete's has some less salubrious areas, no?
@jhong Another aspect to this is that Amazon seems to do about 10x Tesla + SpaceX revenues and operating income (P/E of ~30 vs. ~300 for Tesla), more like Berkshire, although lower margin (for now.)
@jhong Probably, although I think their datacenter capacity is similar, G has more for internal use. Zoox is cheaper than Waymo but may yet compete. Mostly I was comparing to Tesla + SpaceX + X + ...neurolink? My bet is on Amazon (and Alphabet.)
