Israeli journalist Gideon Levy:
"Now that [Gaza] has been destroyed almost completely, Israel is advancing confidently toward the next phase: making the entire population permanently disabled, injured, sick, hungry, homeless and unemployed."
It's the prelude, says Levy, to mass expulsion.
"No society can function without teachers, doctors, social workers, engineers and clerks. And without a functioning society, it's easy to expel Gaza's residents to the four corners of the earth."

Happening now: Garden Grove city council getting hammered by residents after the chemical disaster by GKN’s weapons manufacturing facility, which supplies key components for Israel’s fighting jets.
They are demanding the city permanently shuts down the facility.

We strongly condemn the @NobelPrize committee's unconscionable decision to award this year's peace prize to @MariaCorinaYA. Ms. Machado is a vocal supporter of Israel's racist Likud Party and earlier this year she delivered remarks at a conference of European fascists, including Geert Wilders and Marie Le Pen, which openly called for a new Reconquista, referencing the ethnic cleansing of Spanish Muslims and Jews in the 1500s.
The Nobel Peace Prize should go to individuals who have shown moral consistency by bravely advocating justice for all people, not to politicians who demand democracy in their own nation while supporting racism, bigotry and fascism abroad.
We call on Ms. Machado to renounce her support for the Likud Party and anti-Muslim fascism in Europe. If she refuses to do so, the Nobel Prize committee should reconsider its decision, which has undermined its own reputation. An anti-Muslim bigot and supporter of European fascism would have no place being mentioned alongside the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and other worthy winners of the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Nobel Peace Prize committee should instead recognize an honoree who has shown moral consistency by bravely pursuing justice for all people, such as one of the students, journalists, activists, medical professionals who have risked their careers and even their lives to oppose the crime of our time: the genocide in Gaza. #NobelPeacePrize
The brave journalist from Gaza, Anas al-Sharif, tweeted this barely an hour before he himself was killed in what appears to be a targeted assassination by Isr*el to silence journalists.
Justice in this world is never complete. We look forward to Judgment Day for that.
But there is partial justice in this world - and all those who participated in this inhumane slaughter and genocide will see the effects of that here, before they return to their Lord. And all countries, without exception, who directly aided and abetted in that genocide will bear the wrath of their Lord and will suffer as a result of the killing of so many innocent people.
⚠️To Whom It May Concern,
The occupation is now openly threatening a full-scale invasion of Gaza.
For 22 months, the city has been bleeding under relentless bombardment from land, sea, and air.
Tens of thousands have been killed, and hundreds of thousands wounded.
If this madness does not end, Gaza will be reduced to ruins, its people’s voices silenced, their faces erased — and history will remember you as silent witnesses to a genocide you chose not to stop.
Please share this message and tag everyone who has the power to help end this massacre. Silence is complicity.
John Oliver not mincing words: "Gaza is starving, is a sentence that's objectively true, but it's also slightly misleading because it's too passive. Gaza is being starved by Israel."
