building @thebyefun for me means finding new ways to bring collectors into the more experiences
Seeker Season 2 gives the community another reason to load cards, roll, and chase something new every weeks
20% boost to Season 1 points + a weekly chase card draw
huge thanks to @solanamobile for having us on Seeker !
Seeker Season joins the card chase with @thebyefun π
Roll slabs, load cards, and earn points as you go.
Seekers get a 20% points boost, plus access to a weekly Seeker-only draw for graded TCG cards.
Available now on the Solana dApp Store.
the biggest moat in crypto isn't always the tech or how much money you've raised, it's getting people to actually use what you're building
Solana raised around $25M at launch. now look at the gap in DEX volume
a lot of chains can promise faster, cheaper, better. but liquidity attracts users, users attract builders and builders bring more variety and better experiences, turning repeat usage into a daily habit
that flywheel is hard to replicate
Hundreds of millions went into supposed βSolana killersοΏ½οΏ½ before they went live.
Solana? It raised ~$25M around its 2020 launch.
Now look at this 24-hour DEX volume snapshot:
β Solana: ~$1.75 BILLION
β Monad: ~$13.85M
β Sei: ~$10.77M
β Aptos: ~$4.55M
β Berachain: ~$1.39M
Solana alone did 57Γ all four COMBINED.
a weekly digest is a lot of unglamorous work
the best part of building on solana is how much ships every single week
i'm gonna take the weekend to reset, lock in and get things ready for the weeks ahead
also, we've got a big surprise coming next monday
stay tuned !

that's an insane number of addresses holding tokenized stocks on @solana
but to be honest, as a founder i'm always looking beyond the headline numbers
getting people to try a product is already a milestone. the next step is to keep them using it once the incentives are gone
tokenization can make assets more accessible and composable onchain. now the challenge is building products people actually want to use as part of their daily lives
wallets can be counted. real adoption is measured by how many people stick around when the incentives disappear !
Tokenization on Solana is hitting new all-time highs!
The latest data shows record growth across multiple RWA categories:
- Tokenized credit holders: 19,789 ATH
- Tokenized stock asset holders across tracked markets: ~1.5M ATH, up 6.7%
NVDAx leads individual tokenized stocks with 190.1K holders, ahead of SPCX at 111.1K.
Another huge milestone for onchain asset adoption.
i love partnerships where both products share the same idea but approach it differently
> loyal puts idle USDC to work
> byefun loaded cards which can earn from rolls instead of just sitting in a collection
different kind of assets, same mindset: put what you have to work
super excited to see both communities try this out, especially the Seeker users
$300 in rolls up for grabs: @thebyefun Γ @loyal_hq
We put idle USDC to work with EarnMax, they put idle cards to work. Nothing should sit idle.
Try both apps with the same wallet for a shot at the rewards. Hereβs how to join β
@0xjakesaga 40 views on a killer demo is the part that hurts
ship it where people can watch, every day and the story builds itself
but you keep proving it Jake, that's the way !
ONE HELL OF A MOMENT π₯
During our recent live between @captain_byefun and @JWanderKing, the very first roll of the stream landed Wander a rare pull from the Silver Pool
No warm-up needed
Congrats on taking home a beautiful 2021 Yveltal Celebrations PSA10!
respectfully disagree with this one. i'll lay out why
1/ gacha isn't the pattern that spreads. the asset is
the mechanic itself is simple: a surprise, a reveal, a moment. what makes it work in cards is what's inside.
a card is something collectors already value, already trade and can check against a grade, a cert number and years of sales history. the prize has a shared meaning before anyone pulls it
take that anchor away and you're left with a loot box for stuff. most consumer categories don't have it.
there's no grading standard for a sneaker box or a skincare set, no community that agrees on what the pull is worth. the dopamine hit is the same, but without the anchor it fades after a few tries
2/ the mechanic is the easiest part to copy
a reveal animation and a probability table take a weekend to build. what can't be built in a weekend is the supply, the community, and the trust and all three are local to a category. a collector who trusts a place for cards has no reason to trust it for sneakers, clothes, luxury bags, etc ...
so i don't see one horizontal "gacha for everything" winner. i see a lot of category-specific ones, each owned by whoever earned the right in their own niche
3/ the shopify comparison doesn't hold
shopify is infrastructure: merchants build on it, and the more of them there are, the stronger it gets. gacha is a mechanic that a consumer experiences. you can't be the platform underneath it, because the thing that matters isn't the code, it's what people believe about what's in the box
i'd rather be the best answer for cards than a thin answer for everything
The bet with gacha is that its a design pattern that will proliferate across all consumer goods categories, and the company that runs this playbook beyond TCGs will be a 10bn+ outcome as the next big ecommerce winner since Shopify
LIVE HUNT #04 IS ON TODAY
But today we are gonna do it a bit different like last time
Pumpfunβs Gachapon packs have been getting lots of attention, so i want to try them for myself LIVE
Weβll open packs on @Pumpfun first, then switch over to @thebyefun for a few rolls and see how the session goes
No pre-made conclusions, just trying things out and letting you guys watch along what's worth it in real time
Everything tonight is self-funded. No sponsors, no one paying me to do this. I'm just here out of my own curiosity to test Pumpfun pack opening for myself and see if there's any truth to the talk about it being rigged
After that, we're heading back to @thebyefun which is a platform i've personally spent quite a bit of time rolling on
Come hang out and judge the pulls with us
π 09:00 AM UTC
Come for the pulls, stay for the yap. Can't wait to see how badly this goes!
@figo_saleh@traded_gg respect this. integrations should make the product better, not add more friction for users.
good to see you listening to users and rebuilding what's needed instead of just shipping more features. rooting for you guys !
@hanjaycrypto@Collector_Crypt@Pumpfun@thebyefun love the thinking, Hanjay. connected beats fragmented and weβre always open to good ideas on how cards can plug into more place
so much happening in the background and i can't wait to show it to the TL once it done
as of the moment i'm writing this, Pumpfun TCG pack opening volume has already reached $1,990,075 in a single day
this is what distribution power looks like when you are being at the top of the food chain
@Collector_Crypt already has the inventory, infrastructure and API
@Pumpfun brings the users and puts the experience directly in front of an audience that already uses its app
> Pumpfun gets a new product category, which is a pretty good reasons for users to stick around and of course the potential revenue from the integration
> On the other side, Collector Crypt gets access to a much larger distribution channel without needing every user to discover its own platform first
more distribution can drive more activity, more activity can support the business and the business can reinvest in the ecosystem
i remember part of their revenue share feeds into the solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp treasury. expanding inventory is the priority, while excess funds may be used for reserves and token buybacks
that creates a potentially powerful loop: distribution drives activity, activity generates revenue and revenue can be reinvested into the ecosystem to support further growth
for that i'd say the winners might not just be the ones with the best cards or the best product. they might be the ones who figure out distribution
getting people to try something is one thing. getting them to come back tomorrow, next week, and next month is the real challenge
that's what separates a product people try once from one they actually stick with
About $2m worth of TCG Gacha Packs have been opened on @Pumpfun app since its launch yesterday, attracting ~1.7k Pumpfun app users to pack opening.
The Gachapon integration powered by @Collector_Crypt underlying API accounted for ~20% of total Gachapon spend on CC yesterday.
@0xjakesaga 2am DMs and a ship talk every week is defenitely some real founder supports and unforgettable moment
thank you @0xjakesaga for taking the time to understand what weβre building before actually backing it
