Our immune system also tries to protect us against toxic people and situations. Our cortisol spikes. Our body gets inflamed because it's fighting an emotional infection. Many symptoms disappear as we get into healthier environments.
The more you heal, the more willing you are to let people face the consequences of their actions. You no longer feel responsible. You no rescue. You allow them to be with their choices. Knowing that's the kindest thing you can do. Life teaches.
Abusive people are rarely just abusive.
They can also be kind, fun, and loving.
