It’s a platform I’ve built a career on. I was here since the days I would get a SMS when @elmofromok tweeted on my flip-phone. I was in high school and he was an Inspiration as I started my career. I could respectfully shadow and learn. Far cry from the reactive place it is now.
@vlucas Right. My point has a lot to do with your asking if "it's a really bad idea".
Getting fired from a toxic job is meaningless. In fact, it's a guaranteed better life. Always stand up to tyrants.
We're hiring for a sales and relationship role. I've had a few men complain why we didn't pick them for the job and demand we tell them precisely why.
Thanks for reinforcing our decision by showing a lack of emotional intelligence & consideration for others.
We posted our first job since the recession started and OMG the number of applicants we got was insane. Broke every hiring record we've ever had.
Turns out there are a lot of folks who want to work... when there are full benefits being provided.
@This_Is_Mike_D We've got a distinct need for PM, but it's not enough for a full time position. We typically avoid hiring part time. It's rarely people friendly.
@NodecraftStatus Deploying an entirely new email and billing system in one go can be rough. We spent nearly a month on migration testing, and we still messed bits of it up. 😅
@RjeyTech It has three roles:
1. Parent Sanity Restoration - use sparingly
2. Retail/restaurant POS
3. Sales people so you can identify them avoid at conventions
@OhkayPlays Right about the same time, managers empower employees to ignore and/or eject them from the premise. The call center that they followup complain to then gives them the same treatment.
Until then, corporations give these shitty people power in the name of "customer service 😄"
