@thanosaftersnap @Jebus@0xRockman Because in any country with a welfare state the tax payer is just subsidising cheap labour - low skilled immigrants cost the country more than they put in
@JosephCaruth The date to declare was after the election so even if we buy the rest (which is clear bs) it couldn’t have changed the outcome of the election you absolute melt.
Not to mention that trump lost New York, and state courts have no business ruling on federal elections
@coloradotravis @ParachuteJ66186 If we buy the prosecutions argument a misdemeanour past the statute of limitations was the crime. It then became a felony for election interference despite the reporting date being after the election. So impossible to affect the election. Paradoxical justice.
@adamscochran@ErikVoorhees Except misreporting campaign donations is a misdemeanour that had passed statute of limitations. The felony was election interference, but the date to report was after the election, so is impossible.
@fortifiedwhine@politico Personal payment (so it doesn’t) but the argument is that it changed the election result - also insane because it’s a state court and New York didn’t vote for trump. The case is clearly bunk
@fortifiedwhine@politico Even if it was a campaign contribution (it wasn’t) the date to declare contributions was after the election so it couldn’t have affected it.
@devoretext @5extrapoints @SheilaG2024@JonathanTurley@KatiePhang Be interesting to see what’s actually in the documents if/when the trial starts. Also what happens in nov. Will have the popcorn out
