@SaulStaniforth Context is generative ai, specifically working with dept. of work and pensions finding they could be 20% more efficient.
Cynically that's using ai to stop claims/fire people. Intended point is to do 20% more work with current resources.
@doctajeep Allen and heath eq is great, but I find the filters easy to mess up.
Pioneer is much more intuitive and quicker to use with the easier filter and one fewer eq channel. pioneer limiter is also much more forgiving which is great for smaller systems
@Rob_Rua Ah yeah, intention is to make some extra money to keep the ticket prices down - but people finding out about your parties cuz they dig the merch is no bad thing either.

About avicii so a bit edm focused, but some really interesting ideas here for breaking out of exactly those descriptors (did for me anyway)
@Rob_Rua I'm the same boat with my parties. Merch might make you a nice chunk extra per year, but i've tried a few bits and lost money on some bad results.
But i think drop shipped merch with some nice instagram video ads to also get people into yr ecosystem is the way
@eli1ah Perhaps a bit of behavioural economics, if you work for free you reassess in your mind 'that must have been worthwhile on a deeper level'
vs. paid where the sense of value is more tied to the financials.
@sk33mask Interesting thing i'd found is that at the moment we don't really have a label for this kinda lazy 'underground' style, so has escaped criticism for a while - "tote bag breaks" maybe?
@ericprydz@DjFrenckel This blurred line between DJ set and performance is confusing and misleading to many of your fans. I think we'd all appreciated you being much more clear in how this is communicated, and why there's been a change.
I truly wish you all the best. 3/3
@ericprydz@DjFrenckel This omission that your track lists are pre-decided, is legitimately upsetting. Your music has changed a lot in the last few years, and this omission shows that you've personally changed a lot too .
It seems like you don't represent the same values you used to champion. 2/3
@midlandsound As a promoter its a hard choice. Busy videos are roughly equal to success in the eyes of social media and right now that is our main marketing tool.
But I fully agree, a lot of our best parties are the empty ones. I'm not sure we as an industry know how to solve this rn.
