@klara_sjo There's a great deal of inconvenience being experienced every day, by people trying to reduce their impact on problems they're not contributing to.
@learning_yohei Germany invented the Hamburg Steak. Americans took that "steak" and made a sandwich from it. The Hamburger is an American invention, that began with a German dish.
@NazareAmarga The can opener I have is a newer design. It cuts the rim while re-crimping the edges. It maximizes the size of the opening while leaving nothing sharp. All of these designs are objectively worse.
@JustinWhang Hyperspeed is on Steam. You're sent to a star cluster to find a planet for a new colony. You need to trade with alien races to get the resources you need, or fight them to get them out of your way. Both trade and combat are puzzles. Early 90s 3D graphics, but well done.
@Gingerblast I've occasionally thought about what a campaign that focuses on social combat might look like. You're tending to roll Insight & Deception more than Attack.
I think you would have to plan your encounters so the narrative branches depending on success or failure.
You won't actually get the parts lined up, this way. The jig is a good plan. If your hand is steady, the dowels might be straight enough that the holes line up, but your seam will still be misaligned. The secret sauce is sanding or cutting it after the joint is made.
It's interesting, but with Coors at 5% and Coors Light at 4.2% (which is actually really high for a Light beer), you can get identical results by pouring ~14¾oz of Coors, and topping the pint off with soda water.
@SandyofCthulhu I remember growing up back in the 1990s, all my friends and I thought that graphics were what made a game good. We thought that more realistic meant better. We were wrong, but we thought it.
@ginamilan_ Let me see if I understand your complaint. You're upset because she complains about problems that aren't an issue for her, but she knows other people are suffering from them?
@klara_sjo There was one attempt that I'm aware of. Mansa Musa's predessor is said to have attempted to sail across the Atlantic, leaving Musa in charge.
We don't know what happened to him, but Musa decreed that all the gold in the kingdom was his, personally, and became profoundly rich.
