the fact that there is a glitched invincible sniper on dire marsh rn is proof that bungie is rediscovering destiny from first principles with marathon. died 2017 born again 2026 welcome back randal the vandal
@NuCaloric@PiggyKropotkinn I hope it returns in the future under the winnower and is exactly that. Give us the level of context we had back during early D2
@justaddwatter Idk we got some DEDICATED leakers
Marathon is a cheap game to develop and maintain so odds are we find out what got greenlit by the end of the year
when alex told me he was going to die, the first thing he said after was how sad he was that he was going to miss out on the future of destiny. when he told our other friends, he was sitting in orbit buying the star wars crossover armor. In the last week of his life, when the tumors were so bad he couldnt speak or really eat anymore, i sat with him and another friend he introduced me to through the game and we spoke about old private matches we used to have for hours. In his last few days, when he was unresponsive due to all the pain meds i sat next to his bed and told him about it being the anniversary of him and another friend carrying me through whisper for the first time. I only knew alex because of destiny, he walked up to me while i was wearing a hunter hat from gamestop right before d2 came out. so many of my friends i only know because he introduced me to them. Alex loved this game as much as i did and im so thankful i got to meet him because of it,
To the Destiny 2 community,
Thank you.
As artists, our goal has always been to create worlds filled with wonder, mystery, beauty, and adventure. But what brings those worlds to life is you. You take our designs, our napkin sketches, our "wouldn't it be cool if..." ideas and transform them into something real. Your creativity, your passion, and your love for the game give our work purpose.
We've always believed Destiny could be a place where expression is celebrated, where players can see themselves and each other in the worlds we build, where every Guardian can forge their own legend—and you proved it.
Watching your Guardians grow, embrace new allies, take down bigger and badder bosses, solve mind-bending puzzles, dodge death traps, avoid Taken boopers, and overcome every Raid challenge we throw at you—all while looking incredible—has been a constant reminder of why this universe matters.
You shaped it. You made it matter. You are the light of Destiny.
With Monument of Triumph, we set out to create a series of love letters to Guardians, new and old. We shared a preview last week of armor inspired by early designs from the original Destiny but have also sprinkled some winks and nods throughout the rewards releasing tomorrow. We hope they feel like a small thank you for everything you’ve given us.
From all of us on the Destiny 2 art team, thank you for supporting us, inspiring us, and continuing to bring this world to life in ways we could never have imagined. You give our art meaning.
With gratitude,
The Destiny 2 Art Team
@MGecko117 My main problem is this godawful map design and choosing a jetpack over a single boost. There are no exclusive pilot and titan spaces, it’s EXTREMELY small, like mid size CoD map small, excessively open, and has ONE titan lane
It’s so floaty it flies above any semblance of sauce
