I condemn in the strongest terms Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla. These vessels carried unarmed civilians and life-saving humanitarian supplies for Gaza, yet they were met with intimidation and coercion.
By blocking a humanitarian mission, Israel has shown utter contempt not only for the rights of the Palestinian people but also for the conscience of the world. The flotilla embodied solidarity, compassion and the hope of relief for those under blockade.
Malaysia will use all legitimate and lawful means at our disposal to ensure that Israel is held to account, especially in matters concerning Malaysian citizens. The safety and dignity of our people are paramount, and we will not allow them to be compromised with impunity.
As long as the Palestinian people are denied their fundamental rights and aspirations, Malaysia will stand unflinchingly with them. We will not relent in demanding an end to the injustice and dispossession that have plagued Palestine for generations.

Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. The day will come when all these skirmishes & battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empire's authority, then there will be one too many.
Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. And then remember this. The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural.
“Israel is on the way to becoming a pariah state, like South Africa was, if we don’t return to acting like a sane country. A sane country does not fight against civilians, does not kill babies as a hobby and does not give itself the aim of expelling populations.”
-Yair Golan
If you - particularly those of the Christian faith - believed that the brutality & violence of the Zionist occupation only affected Muslims, this may challenge that view. May all people be protected from such injustices. Happy Easter to those celebrating.

... if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.
The paradox of tolerance, by Karl Popper. Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant [like what's happening in the world today] ...

YouTube has paid $23bn on average to its content creators - far more than the $15bn Netflix is expected to spend this year on its own content. Let that sink in.
Australia has long advocated for a two-state solution to deliver lasting peace and security for Israelis and Palestinians.
At the UNGA, 143 countries including Australia voted for a resolution to grant the Palestinian mission a modest extension of participation rights.
