@ElisaParmley @ldsfootnotes Yes, and willingly putting in extra time to clean church buildings or buying choir music or class supplies out of pocket because it wasn't in the budget. And never pushing back because you don't want to ask for money that came from someone else's sacrifice
@EliMcCann I think there's also a lot of weirdness with emotion in the church. When it's drilled into that cognitive dissonance is the voice of Satan...
@TheRandyMormon@mormons_speak@Ch_JesusChrist I don't understand why they aren't building more meeting houses, if that's the case. I've lived places where we had to drive 20-30 mins to church PAST multiple buildings because those were "full" and they didn't want to build new ones if they could have us drive instead
@REPPIN_DA_WINDY@ChefAnthonyDC I was recently looking for a new babysitter and many of them had rates starting at $25-30/hr for one child, with an additional fee per child. I did think it seemed high, but certainly not unreasonable. Don't forget your paying for time traveling, etc. not just the date itself
@jessiejensen How about 17 women trying to feed infants in a tiny, stinky room with only two chairs because even though Families are Forever TM, feeding them shouldn't interfere with men's worship
@polotek AirBnb has made it much more enjoyable to travel as a family. Iโm currently in one with five bedrooms. My teens are playing ping pong in the basement and my little one is running up and down the stairs. Once we had an indoor basketball court. It was amazing
