In treatment, when things were really very bad, we were told to be careful pushing our daughter. ‘You don’t want to permanently damage your relationship.’
Sadly we took this advice. And for several more years our relationship was bad.
But it wasn’t broken. Now things are great!

IMO it would have worked if we’d had a second chance and with my better understanding
Wanting to look slim like your favourite influencer is not the same as having an uncontrollable desire to starve yourself to the point of emaciation, even death.
These are not two sides of one coin. They are different things.
