This is a dark, dark day for people around the globe. The world’s largest economy and most powerful military will be led by a dangerous, destructive demagogue.
This man lost to Biden.
Lost by ALOT.
If you think that this is ANYTHING other than misogyny at play you’re lying to yourself.
She is THE most qualified candidate on YEARS.
She is viciously intelligent and driven.
She is losing ground with MEN, latine & Blk voters.
Brian Cox, "Donald Trump is a monster.. He's crazy.. He's insane.. He wants to be a dictator"
"The kind of nonsense he's been talking about in the last... I think he's lost it quite frankly.. I think he is deeply mentally unstable.. And I think he has been for some time"
"This is not a man who should be president of the United States.. He's unreliable.. He's a convicted felon"
"I'm a lapsed Catholic.. I read today he has huge support amongst Catholic voters.. I find it extraordinary that Catholic voters would vote for such a man who is in terms of the Catholic church, a big sinner, a big big sinner"
"I find it depressing and curiously ridiculous"
Wow, the IMF is backing Labour’s Budget.
That’s significant because it hasn’t had anything good to say about the UK for ages.
6 times it slapped down the Tories:
Sigh, I still have a lot of Budget docs to read and cannot spend my whole evening doing this but go on I'll do one more...
£1m relief is on top of £1m couple allowance, so really £2m+ farms only. Only around 200 estates per year affected (av estate value £6m), just isn't armageddon for small family farms.
That was a truly Labour Budget.
Any other government could have chosen austerity 2.0. Instead, there was a lot to be proud of.
7 particularly progressive highlights:
@RoyalMailHelp Sending thru Vinteds new RM integration. Can the parcel be dropped off at a post office? Info via Vinted is unclear. Link to drop off points includes post offices as well as lockers but also post boxes which obvs can’t be used.
Left: An original image of Rachel Reeves with a folder with some paper
Right: The Conservative party added more paper, and text to the image, which reads, "Our Plan is to Raise Taxes on Working People"
I'm all for legitimate criticism of the Labour party, but for the Conservative party who once presented themselves as the party of 'law and order,' for them to manipulate an image like this, it is a bit disgraceful
With thanks to my @createstreets colleague Tom who took these photos of buildings barely a few years old and already falling apart. What do you think they’ll look like in 20 years time? Building regs should focus on build quality rather than wasting time on sill heights.

I don’t know if @jessphillips is on here much anymore given the levels of targeted abuse she gets but she posted this on insta and I wanted to share here. I really like Jess. I knew she’d make a difference for women & girls in office & that’s worth shouting about.
Good morning, all. Just a reminder. You have until Friday next week to cast your vote in the National Trust’s AGM. We can’t take our national institutions for granted. They need public participation to keep them strong, healthy and INDEPENDENT.

The horrifying reality of being a woman, perfectly summarised by @_CaitlinORyan
If you give even the slightest shit about women, watch it all. This is what it’s like.
