Moncton has a climate plan. Now residents need to see the delivery plan.
Timelines. Funding. Accountability. Measurable results. And an accessibility and equity test that ensures climate resilience protects everyone.

Tenant rights must work when people need them.
New Brunswick’s rental-law rewrite should deliver timely repairs, accessible dispute resolution and enforcement that follows through.

More homes matter.
But housing starts aren't the same thing as housing affordability.
The real question: how many New Brunswickers can afford a safe, accessible place to call home — and keep it?

A city can add housing, density and investment—and still become harder for ordinary people to live in.
My latest piece asks one question about Moncton’s next Municipal Plan:
Can everyone afford to belong?

Attracting investment is only half the conversation.
The other half is asking what Canadians receive in return when public resources and private capital intersect.
My latest article looks at that question:

Moncton’s next budget is about more than a tax rate.
It’s a choice about transit, infrastructure, accessibility, affordability and whether municipal services keep pace with growth.

Data centres could bring major investment and good jobs to New Brunswick.
But growth cannot mean handing enormous power costs to ratepayers or giving away control of strategic infrastructure.

Moncton is growing, but the real question is how we grow.
More housing. Better transit. Accessibility. Real solutions to homelessness. Complete community where everyone participates.
What kind of Moncton are we building?

@CanadianPolling Definitely.
Trump has proven we can not trust or rely on what is supposed to be our most trusted ally.
that said, they should be developed in secret and they should not be made public until they are fully ready to be used if needed.
@KLamrock In 30 days he will "move ahead with the tariffs because..."
and the cycle will repeat
I take great pleasure in pointing out to Trumpers that the narcissistic whiny geriatric crybaby with clear signs of early dementia and a god complex lost.
this plan was in the news last year.
@AndreaGal67 you're missing the problems from that generation.
The LBGTQ+ community was openly targeted for hatred non whited were treated as less and women stayed in the kitchen.
The problem with the changes are not those fixes.
cost of living went up. Wages didn't that is the issue
@LivinTheFringe@PierrePoilievre less than 1% of fentanyl is coming from Canada. It is not about fentanyl. That is just the lie he can sell it to people too dumb to know better.
This is about a narcissistic, whiny geriatric with early-stage dementia and a god complex, throwing his weight around like a bully.
@JohnMiladin @matthew_fee@705nce@JustinTrudeau there is only one Goliath
1/He was evil
2/ he got his A** handed to him.
Buckle up princess cause this is a David and Goliath story and if he wants to push us around he will go down.
Shouldn't elect a narcissistic whiny geriatric with early signs of dementia and a god complex.
@MarkMKara@andyturner@patrickbetdavid about the only real deficiency on this issue is the military spending target. And I agree this needs to be stepped up.
However, much of that increase needs to be on improving the treatment of our vets, something the US is pathetic on as well.
There is no real flow of drugs
@xgasolinehoneyx @Josh_dd1 @patrickbetdavid I wish you were wrong.
the reality is that if the US tried to drop Canadian oil, the retooling of their plants would take decades and billions of dollars according to the US fuel manufacturers.
He really is hurting himself most.
@MarkMKara@andyturner@patrickbetdavid LOL you don't get it.
Trump is choosing to pick fights with everyone.
If he was only picking a fight with one country, he would win, but he is biting off too much and we will just go behind his back.
Unfortunately, your president is unstable and its going to hurt you.
@MarkMKara@andyturner@patrickbetdavid I have no idea what the process is, I just know the discussions are there.
As far as China goes, we have oil and they are a huge oil consumer (so is Japan) but the key for China is blocking the US so while there's no guarantee what will play out China will be looking for a deal
