Medical interpreters make less than $30 per hour as contractors without benefits. AB 5 changes that where more medical interpreters will receive benefits. I know you don’t understand because you’re not a medical interpreter.
Medical interpreters from San Diego and San Francisco came to the Capitol today to talk to #CALeg about how important #AB5 by @LorenaSGonzalez is to their industry. #CALeg
@unionista27@cdiaz916@TylerDiep@OCLF @LAOC_BTrades Interpreters and translators asked to be exempt just like other professionals. 50000 signatures asked to be exempt. Why won’t unions hear us?
Not only does it put drivers in a tougher position, but AB 5 misclassifies as employees professionals that should otherwise be classified as contractors and want the choice of remaining as contractors such as interpreters and translators!

THIS IS NOT AMERICA. THIS IS NOT WHO WE ARE. These are children of the 680 people arrested today by ICE in Mississippi. They are crying, because their parents are gone. And they were left by themselves. Don’t look away. Make this viral now. Shame on Trump
