1974 Bill Shankly unexpectedly retires, I’ve seen all the Videos, Men Woman Kids crying in disbelief.
The Man who took us from the 2nd division and made us Champions home and Abroad, the Man who brought the first ever Fa Cup home & 500’000 greeted him like a messiah.
Shankly the man who fed from us and the Kop and vice versa, the Peoples Man. When Shankly spoke you listened, when Shankly walked into a room that room fell quiet. The Man who stands on St George’s hall plateau or in front of a rammed adoring Kop lifts both his arms like Moses parting the Sea, the Man who picks up a Liverpool scarf from the floor and places it around his neck, the Man who has supporters at his feet kissing his shoes, The Man who could walk on water.

Then came along Paisley and Joe, cue Kenny Houllier Rafa they all up there with the very best, with their own ways with their own personalities with their own quietness shyness noises and all came with different characters but slotted in like it was meant to be.

Then came along our Jürgen who from minute 1 bowled us over, from North to South East to West just like that!

Fist pumps touchline madness ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ Jamie Webster Basel Kiev Madrid Paris and Wembley, Origi winner v Little Arms…..and off goes Herr Klopp….he’s fucking running onto the pitch like a madman, 50’000 Kopites wanted to do what he did and Jürgen done it for us, he generated absolute chaos home and away, Jürgen spoke up for us, the Team the Club The Badge the Tea Lady, he stuck up for injustice and he spoke on our behalf and told the world THIS IS LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB.
Jürgen Shankly Klopp fed from us, we adore him he adores us and it was and still is the perfect mix.
He gave us our identity back, he made us stick our chests out and he made us believe again. When Klopp spoke you listened, when Klopp walked into a room that room fell quiet.
Jürgen and Shankly, sound Men from the same mould, Men who got us and we got them.
The biggest compliment I can make to Jürgen is that I always have the feeling he’s one of us, Mad Caring Brave Chaotic True Honest and Messed up at the same time.

Jürgen Norbert Klopp, you are us and we are you.
Now let’s go out there, win that league title and you will witness the Homecoming of all Homecomings.
