More often than not, tolerating rampant crime in society is a policy choice.

After El Salvador locked up over 1% of its population (87,000 people), the murder rate collapsed from the highest in the world to one of the lowest in the Americas.

No activist judges to abuse the legal system, no human rights NGOs to effectively protect crime qua crime.

Voters handed Bukele the largest landslide in El Salvador’s democratic history with 83% of the vote and his party 58 of 60 legislative seats.

Because at some point, somebody has to say we’ve had enough of living at the mercy of the bottom 1%.

There are three big stories this morning and they are all related to and downstream of last week's dramatic Yen-tervention by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
The first is something I've expected for weeks now, that the days of the IRGC are nearly over. Reports are now coming out that the Kurds have begun attacking Iran from the north.

Expect similar reports from the east out of Balochistan and to the south by the Arab gulf states. If you were confused by Trump's calling off the attack over the weekend it was, as always, the Arabs being incapable of basic military logistics.
The US has been ready to push for Kharg and/or Qeshm island for a few weeks now, but this has to be a full 'coalition of the willing' to finish off the Non-Agreement Capable Death Cultists known as the IRGC.

The second is the results of the Michigan Senate primary where the establishment DNC cheating machine has a real problem because it failed to stop Abdul El-Sayid from winning via ballot stuffing in Wayne Cty.

Sayid has almost no chance in the general election given his abysmal performance outside of white AWFULs and the cucky hubbies.

The last is why diesel fuel prices remain sticky despite falling oil prices and increased dollar liquidity. 3-2-1 crack spreads remain wide.

Put it together and the question you should be asking is when does Europe's bond markets finally give up pretending they represent anyone's real opinion about risk.

You did one hell of a job damaging this country for generations.

We condemned Zohran for erasing Little Italy off the map. Millions rallied behind us, and he backtracked.

Zohran then announced that an “ID Card” would be required to access his Government run grocery stores. Millions mocked the irony of this, and he backtracked again.

Moral of the story: people like Zohran are merely Low IQ, pompous, theatre geeks, who ascend into power because they are useful little puppets.

Larry, you well know that I disagree with that idea that $100-$200 is the base case for oil. If that happens it will be Trump who gets burned because he sold it @ $110 and was looking to buy it back at $70 in a year.

As for $9 gas? No way. We are well supplied with gasoline and diesel. All Trump has to do is suspend excess distillate exports.

The base case for me is this yo-yo'ing around between $75 and $95 for as long as the IRGC and Ukraine keep acting like they have a dog in this hunt.
