They are so afraid of you realizing there are politicians who can and actually want to make your life better and not just collect checks from lobbyists and corporations.
When the Court overturned Roe, one thought kept running through my mind: Women of this generation were about to lose rights that previous generations had fought to secure.
Four years later, we have seen exactly what that looks like — chaos, confusion, fear. Women denied care. Doctors threatened for providing it.
But we have seen something else: The American people refuse to accept that this is the future.
These are difficult times, but our fight continues.
Four years ago, the Supreme Court made one of the worst decisions in history by overturning Roe v. Wade.
Women — not politicians or the government — have the right to control their own bodies and make their own healthcare decisions.
We must codify Roe v. Wade into law.
It's no longer left versus right or even Democrat versus Republican.
It’s now democracy versus oligarchy. Freedom versus dictatorship. Right versus wrong.
Millions are awakening to this new reality — and they're speaking up.
The sleeping giant of America is roaring.
"I wish they'd stop calling me a terrorist. That's what I wish. I wish they'd stop calling me a radical. None of these people are radical. They just want healthcare. They want to end American militarism. They want to spend money on roads, infrastructure, on schooling, on healthcare, rather than bombs overseas." HASAN IS SPITTING 🔥
How about starting with the man in the Oval Office who's been spending taxpayer dollars on:
- A Ballroom
- A Reflecting Pool
- A Wrestling Match
- Golf Trips
But I guess it's hard to go after the man who gave you your job.
Trump has turned the White House into a 24/7 corruption operation. This is a national crisis.
Trump thinks the public will stop paying attention.
So I went to the Senate floor to call his bluff. I told the ENTIRE STORY of his 500 days of corruption.
1/ Here it is - in one🧵
Just want to remind everyone that Elon Musk canceled $400 million in food aid for Gaza and Darfur, and to remind everyone when he held up a chainsaw, fed USAID into the wood chipper, and thousands of people have already died as a result.
That's who you're defending. History's first trillionaire.
By the way, this tweet is yet another one of my tweets about Elon that X deleted. So much for freedom of speech, Elon!
Republicans defending her in the comments would 100% be calling her a murderer if she was a Democrat. All of a sudden everyone acknowledges that ectopic pregnancy is a life threatening condition where an abortion is needed, but when it was the left trying to explain that MAGA said it didn’t matter and it was all murder. These people are a bunch of LIARS and HYPOCRITES.
It is important to resist the commodification of basic human needs. Food, water and healthcare cannot be subordinated to market considerations or geopolitical interests. Access to adequate food is a fundamental human right grounded in the dignity of every person. Meeting this need not only alleviates suffering but also addresses underlying causes of geopolitical instability. Indeed, food security is an essential component of global and integral security. https://t.co/DgkM9RegJ7
Ossoff: We see a faithless president, self-dealing, while he depicts himself as Christ, while he depicts the Obamas as apes, while he plunges the nation recklessly into war, plunders our health care, and sends prices soaring.
And while the people pay more than ever for groceries and housing and health care, he builds a monument to himself.
While a cancer patient loses health coverage, he adorns his office in gold.
Voting rights laws are dismantled, prisons for immigrants are full of children, and all the while we see this wickedness advanced and defended by those who wrap themselves in the banner of righteous faith.
But we ask, where in Scripture are we commanded to deny care to the sick, to take from those with the least to give to those with the most, to violate the house of worship to hunt down the refuge
Brother that is Freddie Mercury who was a gay immigrant performing at LIVE AID, a historic concert that raised over $100 million to fight the famine in Ethiopia because governments weren’t doing anything. His existence was pushing back against homophobia and other kinds of bigotry. It’s one of the reasons Queen stuck out as much as they did. He was not afraid of being himself publicly.
James Talarico: “Real men don’t lie and cheat their way through life. They don’t enrich themselves by stealing from other people. They don’t sell their soul to the highest bidder. Real men serve others, weak men serve themselves”
As someone who works with transgenic mouse models for cancer research, this is objectively one of the funniest things I’ve seen a real life politician post
Again, the disagreement depends
If you hate every single video game I love, we can still be friends
If you think my LGBT friends deserve less rights, get tf outta my face
Mamdani: "Solidarity with a government that is committing genocide is a very different thing than a question of solidarity with people of a specific faith. I'm proud to be a mayor of the city with the largest Jewish population in this country."
How do you know this administration is racist?
Every single time someone ask them about the quality of life for Black Americans they bring up CRIME STATISTICS (or WAREHOUSE JOBS) as a MEASURE of BLACK SUCCESS in the United States.
That's all we are to them.
You do not earn a billion dollars. You steal it. Nobody works a billion times harder than a nurse, a teacher, or a farmer. That wealth comes from underpaying the people who actually did the work. Stop praising hoarders who are just really good at wage theft.
