I actively participate in the shooting club at my college, regularly practicing with shotguns and handguns on weekends. In doing so, I've gained valuable knowledge about gun safety and responsible ownership.
The current issues America faces stem from our inability to maintain domestic tranquility by striking a balance between rights and responsibilities.
A mob doesn't equate to a militia. It's crucial for the majority of gun owners, who practice responsible ownership and advocate for stronger regulations, to raise their voices. The vocal, tyrannical minority of gun extremists has misrepresented all gun owners for far too long. This doesn't reflect a society that upholds and encourages responsibility. We have to do better to make sure guns don’t get into the wrong hands and we also have to address why someone wants to kill others in the first place too.
THIS WEEK IN TRUMP / 1
Trump's life has changed permanently this week. In more ways than you may have noticed
Omarosa won. Now ALL former Trump White House staff were released from their NDAs. They hated how Trump fired them & have revenge books to write. Some ready to publish
The spread of COVID-19 has been followed by two horrible, hateful trends: a shadow pandemic of violence against women and a surge of violence against Asian Americans. The murders in Atlanta are heartbreaking and a call to conscience. We cannot, must not, will not stand for this.
Republicans allowed Donald Trump to incite an insurrection without consequence, and now they want to allow insurrectionists to determine state voting laws. We cannot allow laws to be written based on a lie. We must protect the right to vote. #gapol
The Senate has confirmed Pete Buttigieg as secretary of transportation by a vote of 86-13.
That makes him the first openly gay man confirmed to a Cabinet position in U.S. history.
