As nobody can afford food or healthcare:
- Trump held a lavish UFC event at the royal palace
- The Obamas are touting their self-portrait in their $850 million shrine
- Musk is being celebrated for being a trillionaire
Is this what it felt like before the French Revolution?
We’re about to spend $300,000,000,000 rebuilding Iran after spending $80,000,000,000 destroying it, while telling Americans on Medicaid to take a hike.
America First.
Sanders plan would mean:
✅ No hospital A deductible. Zero
✅ No Part B deductible for doctor visits.
✅ Expanded dental, vision, hearing
✅ No co-pays
✅ No Medicare Advantage upcoding, ripping off taxpayers.
Thanks to Trump and his “Big Beautiful Bill,” student loan payments will go up as much as $4,000 a year starting July 1st.
While billionaires get massive tax breaks, working people will be defaulting on their debts.
Unacceptable.
I cannot think of a more clear example of all that's corrupt & wrong with Dem Party politics than Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire & then Gavin Newsom, a union & Planned Parenthood fighting to help billionaires block blue-state voters from even voting on a billionaire tax.
@mcuban Instead of 7 health insurance companies that made $54 billion in profits last year by covering 10 million fewer people and denying care, Medicare for All would be run by traditional Medicare that spends 2% of its budget on administrative costs vs. 17% in the private sector.
There are 989 billionaires in the United States.
A country can't afford necessary and good things for the whole population & also have a government whose top priority is making sure 989 oligarchs have more than a billion dollars. The math doesn’t work.
Politicians should stop pretending public policies that support the wealth-hoarding of billionaires & trillionaires aren’t a problem.
Those policies are THE problem.
Imagine waking up tomorrow and every billionaire vanished.
Most people would still go to work.
Food would still be grown.
Roads would still be built.
Hospitals would still operate.
Now imagine every worker vanished.
That's the difference between wealth and value.
If you can’t tax billionaires and trillionaire because “its unrealized gains until they cash out,” then stop letting them leverage that wealth for loans, as collateral, or as equity.
If it’s not real enough to tax, it shouldn’t be real enough to leverage.
This is why we say the system is rigged in favor of the super wealthy. Abolish billionaires, tax them out of existence, protect working people.
Yes @mcuban you’re right that 60% of US adults own stock directly or indirectly but what you omit to mention is that the richest 1% of Americans own nearly 50% of the stock market while the bottom half of Americans own just 1%.
Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500.
If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.
No one earns a billion dollars. Billionaires exist because millions of workers are paid far less than the value they create. Nobody works a billion times harder than a nurse, a farmer, or a teacher. Stop glorifying wealth hoarders. They’re just professional wage thieves.
Trump threatened to have me hanged over a 90-second video I made. I'm a sitting United States Senator and spent decades serving this country, and it didn't matter. Keeping your head down will not keep you safe. Staying quiet will not keep you safe.
